Web 2.0 offers opportunities for collaborative knowledge construction through applications that allow all users to create, respond to, and interact with information. It requires new roles for both teachers and students, encouraging investigation and critical thinking as students learn to evaluate trustworthy sources. Teachers will design new materials, activities, and assessments to take advantage of this social, interactive learning environment.
