2. THE WATER CYCLE
Without water, life on earth would not exist.
Organisms contain mainly of water, and they need
water for life processes.
The water cycle is a continuous movement of water
from the atmosphere to the earth and from the earth
back to the atmosphere.
Water is endlessly recycled between the earth and
the atmosphere.
3. The Water Cycle involves the
following processes
Evaporation- it is the Condensation- it is the
movement of water in process by which water
the form of water vapor in air cools and
vapor from the earth condenses into water
to the atmosphere. droplets forming
clouds.
Transpiration- the loss of Precipitation- the
water from plants due movement of water
to evaporation. from the atmosphere
to the earth.
5. WATER FLOW
Heated by the sun, water evaporates from
oceans, lakes, rivers, and the leaves of plants, and
condenses to form clouds.
Clouds release their water back to the land as
rain, hail, dew, or snow.
This water runs off the ground along streams and
rivers and flows back into the oceans.
Water also soaks into the ground, filling spaces
around the underground rock.
