My hands were 1with no sensation. It was so cold! The temperature
control didn’t 2work well. The cable wasn’t 3connected to the electrical
outlet, so the temperature could not be 4modified. The 5person
managing the machine forgot to fix it.
The engine had a 6rotating line that got 7stopped by a mechanical
failure. My 8best skill was fixing machines, but now I was trapped in this
polar grave. I tried 9crushing the controls, but nothing happened. All of
them were 10defective. This 11type of the apparatus was new for me.
First I 12had problems to stand up. Then, I 13walked with difficulty. Next,
I sort of 14balanced from one side to another and I 15fell down. I
16moved to a different position. Now, I know how 17fragile human life is.
This pain is very 18bothering. No kidding, this big group of refrigerators
19imitate a cold hell!
The thermometer had this 20precise message: I would die in 10 minutes

Recently we watched an interesting movie about
a group of Afroamerican students who won a 1
formal discussion in Harvard. Nothing 2stopped
them. A good teacher 3encouraged them to
participate. They improved 4little by little. At
first, they were 5nervous, but their confidence
got 6like expanded by gas and once they were on
the stand, they didn’t 7pause in doubt. They
researched in books they 8looked at closely.
They were really well coordinated and when
one of them 9signaled, the other knew what to
say. Their victory 10made more beautiful the
relationship between blacks and whites.

Double Dutch is a game of rope with a twist. There are two ropes,
1exactly the same in length, that are turned in different directions. A
Double Dutch team has at least three or four members, including two
rope turners and one or two jumpers. Teams practice long and hard to
perfect a fancy 2set of steps. Two jumpers can hop with different
footwork and tricks or do them3at the same time. Turners often 4say
aloud rhymes to help jumpers keep a 5similar rhythm.
Teams that have 6become very skilled at Double Dutch may want to try
7being eligible for a 8contest. This sport is difficult, but don’t be
9frightened. It also has an 10essential part of art to it. It’s as much fun to
watch as it is to do.
