Vladimir Volegov is a Russian painter who began painting at age 3 and showed talent from a young age. He studied art in Russia and began participating in international poster art competitions in 1984. In 1988, he moved to Moscow where he had a successful career in commercial art, designing posters and album covers. While working commercially, he continued painting and participating in exhibitions. In 1990, he began traveling to Europe to paint portraits in cities like Barcelona and Berlin to further develop his skills painting human forms. Over the past 14 years, his figurative paintings have evolved into vivid works that possess a timeless sensibility through his use of bold colors and strokes.
