○ Verisk Analytics Inc. Competition (Winner): Text Mining-’Identifying Fraudulent Name,
Location and Scheme from an article’
• Developed Python scripts to identify the fraudulent name(s) and the location using Stanford NER, NLTK
and Geocoder packages through different patterns.
• Achieved 82.67% overall efficiency with 84.12% of the fraudulent names , 89% of the location, and
85% of the non-negative article properly identified.
• Worked on sentiment analysis in Python to analyze the severity of the crime committed in the article.
• Used Regular expressions to effectively identify the patterns in an article, which improved the efficiency
in identifying the fraudulent names by 35%.
○ Statistics project: ’Chicago Crime Analytic’
• Generated R scripts for regression analysis to predict the crime rate in each district for each type of
crime in Chicago.
• Created a heat map in QGIS to interpret the intensity of crime in each sector.
• Interpreted the result to analyze the intensity of crime happened using Text Mining tool.
• Generated a table to rank the top 5 criminal activities in Chicago.

• Analyzed the Unemployment, Mortality and Population percentage rate using SAS Studio.

• Used Python scripts to automate job scheduler tracker and improved the performance by almost 200%
over the conventional tracking method through excel macros.
