Jesus sends out the disciples into the harvest field, telling them to preach the Kingdom and heal the sick. He encourages them to look for Persons of Peace who will host them and spread their message of peace. Jesus warns the disciples that some will reject their message and persecute them, but tells them not to be afraid and to trust that God will give them the words to say.
In Isaiah 40 there is a dramatic pivot. The first 39 chapters have been filled with messages of prophetic doom and judgment. However, in chapter 40 God commands Isaiah to bring a message of hope and comfort to Jerusalem. Although judgment is coming, God reveals that salvation will follow in its heels. That deliverance will be foreshadowed by a messenger who will prepare the way of the LORD. In Malachi 3:1-3 we learn about the forerunner and the one to follow Him. The messenger is clearly pointing towards John the Baptist. But the messenger of the covenant is not John – this messenger is Jesus. It is John who heralds Jesus’ ministry. But it is Jesus who comes to the Temple and ultimately becomes the one to purify the sons of Levi and ultimately to purify all sinful souls that seek Him.

God’s people did not consider the consequences of idolatry and sin and therefore her collapse was awesome. She could have been glorious, as God had planned but chose to forsake Jehovah. Are we considering our future? If we do not, our collapse could be awesome too.
We outline several practical ways in which we can be generous with our finances: tithes and offerings; support of Christian ministries and organizations; gifts to bless other people and alms we give to help the poor and needy.

Jesus showed his disciples his example: shared the good news and helped the needy. Then he called his disciples and sent them out, first to those closest to them.... similarly, evangelism and mission can always start where we are, our families, neighborhood, friends, etc before going far out into the world.
A related note during Father's Day, Matt 3:17 showed how Father God showed Attention, Acceptance, Affection and Approval during Jesus' baptism.... we fathers here on earth can learn a thing or two in showing God's love to our children today...

Rated R wrestles with the crucial need of building relationships in the context of a life-giving spiritual community.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

I am sending you out like sheep

44. MATTHEW
So do not be afraid of them…
10:26, 19-20, 28-
when they arrest you, do not worry
about what to say or how to say it.
31 for it will not be you speaking,
At that time you will be given what
to say,
but the Spirit of your Father speaking
through you.
45. MATTHEW
Do not be afraid of those who kill
10:26, 19-20, 28-
the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather, be afraid of the One who

can destroy both soul & body in hell.
Are not

46. MATTHEW
Yet not one of them will fall to the

Father. And even the very hairs
