Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi arrival (...)
Hanoi is the second largest city of Vietnam with total population of over 6 million people. As the capital
of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, the enchanting Hanoi is considered to be one of cultural
centers of Vietnam, where most of Vietnamese dynasties had left behind their imprint. Even though
some relics have not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interesting cultural and
historic monuments for visitors and residents alike.
Our tour starts with pickup at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi and free for your personal
activities.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour - Sapa (night Train) (B/L)
Be ready at the lobby at 8am for the bus.
Today, we will spend a full day to visit the city. We start with visit to President Ho Chi Minh's
mausoleum and residence. We also visit the famous One Pillar Pagoda nearby. Leaving the President's
complex, we continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu). Although several Văn Miếu can be
found throughout Vietnam, the most prominent and famous is that situated in the city of Hanoi, and
was functioned as Vietnam's first university
After lunch in a local restaurant, we go to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum
containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of Vietnam, as well as relics, tools and even
full size replicas of their homes and buildings.
Back to the hotel. Free and easy till pickup for night train to Sapa.

2. Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van - Sapa (B/L)
You are welcome at the station for transfer to Sapa. Breakfast upon arrival at local restaurant. We will
then start from your hotel for 6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong
Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. A 2km-trekking down to Lao Chai village, through
terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people. If lucky enough, you will have
chance to see endless ripening paddy fields on continuous terraces. Lunch at a local family, it gives
you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life
styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes on the way and get back to Sapa by jeep or
motorbike.

Day 4: Cat Cat & Sin Chai - Hanoi (B/L)
A walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong.
Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was
constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the
river, and then next 6 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of
Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on
the way back to Sapa.
Free to explore the town before pickup for transfer to the station for night train to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Halong Bay has twice been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Area for its exceptional
scenic beauty and outstanding geological and geomorphic values. Thousands of islands emerging
uneven in the fanciful waves look strong and magnificent but also mild and vivid. Amidst these islands,
we feel as if we were astray in a petrified legendary world.
You are picked up at the station. Transfer to pointed place for pickup for Halong tour. You can leave
your luggage behind and pack an overnight bag.
12.15 pm: Arrive in Halong city, board our traditional wooden junk boat for an overnight journey. Sip
on a refreshing welcome drink upon check in before you begin the cruise through the bay. Feast on a
delicious lunch as you cruise among hundreds of islets (Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi – Fighting Cock
islet, Dog islet, Finger islet, etc.) to discover untouched pockets of Halong Bay and visit Sung Sot
cave, which is situated in the centre of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area and is one of the
most imposing grottos of the Bay. You will then have chance to explore Halong bay on your own by
kayaking from the Soi Sim beach to Luon Cave to enjoy the quite atmosphere of the bay. We will have
dinner with fresh seafood on board then free time for squid fishing or relaxing and chatting with your
partner, friends, family.

Day 6: Halong - Hanoi - Hue (night train) (B, L)
7.00am: For early risers complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and cake are served. Enjoy Sunrise on the
Bay or practice Tai Chi lesson with our professional (this is not included with standard and superior
options). Continue to explore the Bay.
8.00am: Sail past rock formations such as Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet, Butterfly cave, Lion islet,
Bai Tho mountain, enjoy the tranquil scenery as the boat meanders its way through the bay on the
way back to Halong city, etc. Arrange your luggage and do the check out onboard at around 9.00 am.

3. Enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through strange-shaped limestone rock formations.
11.45am: Arrive back at Halong city for disembarkation where your driver waits to take you back to
your Hanoi. Free time for your personal activities and dinner before pickup for night train to Hue.

Day 7: Hue city tour (L)
Hue is the former capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen dynasty (1802 - 1945). Here remains many
historical buildings. Inside the city are the Royal Citadel, Flag Tower, Royal Palace, and Royal Tombs.
Hue’s Forbidden Purple City was once reserved for the royal family; it was severely damaged during
the War. Outside the city is the religious site known as Nam Giao Hill, or Heaven’s Altar.
You are welcomed at the station. Transfer to the hotel.
Today, you are picked at the station in the morning for full day tour. Our visiting sites includes Old
Imperial City, Flag Tower, Thien Mu Pagoda, Royal Tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Our exciting day
ends with romantic cruise on the Perfume River with music on boat.

Day 8: Hue – Hoi An (bus) (B)
The ancient town of Hoi An was originally a Cham port. The city possessed the largest harbor in
Southeast Asia in the first century and was known as Lâm Ấp Phố (Champa City). It has been
influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures.
Today, you will take the taxi to our pointed place for the bus to Hoian. town - Journey south along
Highway 1 past the Hai Van Pass and Lang Co.
Upon arrival to Hoian, take a walking tour to visit the ancient town with all major interesting sites:
Ong Pagoda, Hoi An Museum, Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old House, Assembly Hall of
Cantonese Chinese Congregation.Overnight at hotel, Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An - My Son - Saigon (flight) (B)
Pickup at the hotel at 8am for transfer to My Son Holy Land, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi
An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining
with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of
Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar,
Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries was built from the 7
to 13 centuries.
Back to the town in the afternoon. Free till transfer to the airport for flights to Saigon.

Day 10: Saigon – My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho (B/L)
Leave Ho Chi Minh city 8:00 a.m, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by
green rice fields. On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the
river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise
islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in
Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees along
natural canals. Have a short cycling tour (applied for private tour/if time permitted) then enjoy
seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals.
Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy &
observe the pastoral life as you roam through fruit plantations and villages. Proceed to Can Tho.

4. Overnight in the hotel (family home-stay with dinner can be arranged on request). Free time to visit
bustling Can Tho market.
Day 11: Phong Dien-Cai Rang - Saigon (B)
Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac
River), then proceed to visit Cai Răng floating market (& Phong Dien is optional), which are the
liveliest in the whole religion.
Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander
around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a "Monkey bridge"
which is built by only o¬ne stem of bamboo. Visit the orchard garden. Stop for lunch. On the way back
to HCM city by bus the last stop is to see how incense sticks are made (optional visit to Mangrove
forest which was a former Viet Cong base used by the guerillas during the War can be arranged on
request).
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Free for personal activities till transfer to the airport for departure flight. Trip ends.
