1) The opening sequence follows a man walking with his hood up towards a house. As he approaches the door, the camera zooms in on him. 2) When the man reaches the house, there is a loud smash on the door that the audience cannot see. The woman inside screams and the screen turns black. 3) All that can be heard is a fast heartbeat, and then the title of the film - "NEXT DOOR" - appears in dripping blood-red text before the screen fades to black.

2. OUTLINE…
Its starts with a man walking with his hood
up.
Music will be creepy
using a piano to create
suspense
The camera zooms in on the man as he
reaches the door to a house.

3. OUTLINE…
Every time the shot gets closer a title
appears in a dissolved effect – the same
music.
With every title there is a
sound effect – possibly a
bang?
As the man approaches the door, the
screen goes black, then a close up
of the woman.

4. OUTLINE…
When the man gets to the house there is a loud
smash/smack on the door but you can’t see the
smash!
The woman screams and the
screen turns black!
All we can hear is a fast
heart beat…
Then the title of the film appears in
blood type writing in bold red and
drips of the screen;

6. SETTING…
It is set in a small urban area. Mainly takes part in a house,
the build up in the opening sequence will occur in the
day time, just outside the front of the house.
PROPS…
The key props are a Hoodie for the man who will also be holding a
white thing which you don’t know about. A house is needed to be
part of our opening sequence.

7. ACTORS
The Man in the Hoodie will be played by either Stephen or
Bradley.
The Frightened Victim will be
played by Becca
LIGHTING/COLOUR
It will played in the daytime and you can’t choose the
weather but hopefully it will be a more gloomy day.
(Rain, Fog).
It will also be dark in the house, with just
TV playing, which would be acting as the
light.
