Measuring level of liquid in a tank or vessel can be accomplished in a number of ways, all of which require some arrangement of instrumentation to either infer the liquid level from the measurement of a related physical property, or directly deliver the liquid level visually using a scaled gauge arrangement. One indirect method of level measurement is the bubbler method, so named because it employs a purging gas that continually vents from the bottom of a tube extending into a tank of liquid. Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.

Every time when lecturers/professors need to conduct examinations they have to sit down think about the questions and then create a whole new set of questions for each and every exam. In some cases the professor may want to give an open book online exam that is the student can take the exam any time anywhere, but the student might have to answer the questions in a limited time period. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.

Side Pocket Mandrels
The Oval Side Pocket Mandrels, FO-1/MO-1, are primarily designed for gas lift and are available in sizes 2-
3/8 through 4-1/2 inch tubing.
The FO-1/MO-1 provide full opening tubing bore while receiving any manufacturer’s 1 inch outside diameter
gas lift valves.
The FO-1/MO-1 have a positioning orienting sleeve to guide the Kick-over Tool into precise alignment with
the side pocket. The slot in the orienting sleeve and tool guard guide the valve until it latches in place.
The FO-1/MO-1 are manufactured from AISI 4130, 13CR,S13CR or 9CR-1MO steels. All materials are pro-
cured to ASTM standards.
The side pocket mandrels are welded using ASME qualified welders and procedures; uniformly heat-treated
using a quench and temper process and pressure tested in accordance to design specifications.
The FO-1/MO-1 are designed for use with a top BK-2 latch and a bottom collet latch, and can be run in highly
deviated wells as well as dual completions.

The VANOIL COMPLETION SYSTEMS line of gas lift valves consist of casing
pressure and tubing pressure operated types for use in continuous and/or intermit-

Operated Gas Lift Valves
Description
Vanoil’s R-1 and R-2 wireline retrievable, injection
pressure operated gas lift valves are primarily
controlled by the injection gas pressure. These valves
are used for continuous tubing flow when installed in a
side pocket mandrel.
The R-1 and R-2 valves and use top latches. Reverse
flow checks are included as an integral part of all of
these valves. The check valves utilize a dual seating
system. An elastomer seal is contacted first, then as
differential pressure increases, a metal-to-metal seal
is established.
Operation
The operation valves closing force is the calculated
nitrogen charge pressure in the dome section. When
injection gas pressure acting over the effective area of
the bellows plus the production pressure acting over
the area of the port is great enough, the bellows is
compressed and the valves stem tip will lift off of the
seat allowing gas to be injected into the production
conduit. The valves are used for unloading and
continuous gas lift operation.

Pilot Operated Gas Lift Valves
Description
Vanoil’s RV-1 and RV-2 pilot operated valves are
used for intermittent gas lift applications. Each pilot
operated valve incorporates two sections in a single
housing; a pilot section and the power section. A
three-ply monel bellows, charged with nitrogen gas,
provide the force necessary to maintain the pilot
section of the RV-1 and RV-2 in a normally closed
position. Reverse flow check are an integral part of all
four pilot operated gas lift valves. The RV-1 and RV-2
are 1-1/2” O.D. valves.
Operation
The advantage of a pilot operated valve is to rapidly
inject a large volume of injection gas for intermittent
flow. The injection gas first enters the pilots section
and compresses the bellows, which lift the stem tip off
the seat and directs pressure to the power section.
This opens the power section and injects gas through
the large ported power section. When the annular
injection pressure draws down and closes the small
ported pilot section, the power section spring then
closes the master port. These valves are used for
unloading and intermittent gas lift operation.

Single Point Gas Lift Orifice Valves
Description
Vanoil’s RO-1 and RO-2 wireline retrievable single
point injection gas lift orifice valves are used for
continuous flow application. The flow is from casing
annulus through the orifice and into the tubing. The
RO-1 is a 1” O.D. valve and the RO-2 is a 1-1/2” O.D.
valve. The Reverse flow checks are included as an
integral part of the RO-1 and RO-2 orifice valves.
Operation
Injection gas enters the valve through the external
ports between the valve packing sets and travels
through the square edge orifice, through the reverse
flow check valve and into the production conduit. The
check valves utilize a dual seating system. An
elastomer seal is contacted first, then as differential
pressure increases, a metal – to- metal seal is a
established.

Dummy Valves
Description
Vanoil’s RD-1, and RD-2 dummy valves are
designed to isolate communication between casing
and tubing. Each of these valves have sets of packing
which straddle and pack-off the casing ports in the
side pocket mandrel. The RD-1 is a 1” O.D. valve, the
and the RD-2 is a 1-1/2” O.D. valve.
Operation
The RD-1 and RD-2 retrievable dummy valves
positively seal off communication between casing and
tubing and protect the seal bore of the side pocket
mandrel until they are retrieved by standard wireline
methods.
