Two local councils in the UK have joined together to petition transport authorities to restore regular passenger rail service to Reddish South Station, which currently only receives one weekly train. The station has not had a regular service since 1991. Supporters argue that reopening the line between Stockport and Manchester Victoria, with a stop at Reddish South, would improve access to jobs and attractions while benefiting the local economy. However, the transport authority argues that restarting service would be very expensive due to the cost of new trains and track upgrades needed.

This 3 sentence summary provides the high-level information from the document:
The document appears to be about a freelance journalism course as it includes a byline of "Freelance journalism course article by Nick Statham" and includes contact information for "www.ctjt.biz" located at "Forum House | Stirling Road | Chichester | PO19 7DN".
Unpaid internships are becoming increasingly popular for graduates but there is debate around whether they exploit interns. While internships can provide valuable experience, only those who can afford to work unpaid will benefit, making opportunities unequal. Campaign groups are pushing for legislation to ensure internships are paid so that ability, not wealth, determines who gains experience. Graduates considering internships should carefully weigh the potential benefits against risks of exploitation, and ensure any work they do would not normally require pay.
This document provides contact information for NewsroomUK, including its website address, physical address of Forum House in Chichester, and that it is run by NCTJ student Jamie Lewis.
NCTJ newspaper journalism student Samson Dada interviewed MP Liz Kendall - and the report won Article of the Year at the De Montfort University Demon Media Awards.
The document provides a review of the Felder Felder Autumn/Winter 2011 fashion collection shown at London Fashion Week. Some key details include:
1) The collection featured garments with goat's hair and graphic prints meant to bring out femininity.
2) Floral crystal embroidery on dresses was a new idea for the designers. Trousers were skinny and skirts were A-line.
3) The review found the collection quite wearable and glamorous compared to previous seasons, and noted clever use of color and texture.
Samson Dada, a Labour MP, is interviewed about his support for Ed Balls in the Labour leadership contest and his views on the coalition government's budget and welfare reforms. He criticizes the budget for disproportionately impacting the poor and believes Labour should pursue a fairer tax system, cooperation between public services, and cracking down on tax avoidance. He also argues that Labour had already begun welfare reforms to increase employment and that the coalition's plans lack support for disabled workers and adequate income support for jobseekers.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
