Christie Stalcup was a TMC member with Central City Community Outreach Programs in Los Angeles, CA. During her time with Central City Christie worked intensely with young children in an array of academic and extracurricular activities. Her final project is a detailed blueprint on how to facilitate one of Central City's most important activities, an annual trip to Central City's executive director's home in in Arleta, CA. This event is one of the few times that students at the site, their parents, volunteers, and executives from Central City get the opportunity to bond with one another and celebrate the progress that the children at the sites have made with the help of TMC members. This projects details every part of the planning process and discusses the impact that this activity has on the moral and growth of the children at the site and TMC members alike.

So for this year's agency holiday card, we asked our offices in Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, St. Louis and New York City to share five regional recipes that capture a part of those cities’ culinary cultures. MelindaCoppwill be incharge of the eventandall of the staff/volunteers thatare involvedinthe event.
o There will be coordinatedeffortsbetweenherandAliciaPhelpsinthe marketingof thisevent
(i.e.pressrelease,radiobroadcastingandtelevisionbroadcasting).
o Otherstaff memberswill be requiredtotravel toareachurchesin orderto publicize the event
and ticketsales.
The JonesboroughSeniorCenterwillaidinthe areaof volunteerassistance.Thisincludesassemblingof

Ten60 inchroundtablesshouldbe set-upinthe Parlorof the StorytellingCenterthe morning
before the event.

Additionally80chairswill needtobe placedaroundsaidtables.
All of the disheswill needtobe washedandlaidoutto dry that morning(thisincludesteapots,
urns,saucers,creamers,sugarbowlsetc.).
Afterthe disheshave dried,theyshouldbe placedonthe tablesonce the tableshave been
decorated.

The corsages shouldbe takenoutof the fridge inthe kitchenandplacedonthe small table along
withthe couponbooklets inthe foyertothe Parlorand Library.
At 8:45AM, the sconesand fruitshouldbe placedateach seaton the tables.
At 9AM, a staff member,withalistof ticketholders,shouldbe placedatthe bottomof the stairs
on the firstfloor(inthe doorway) totake ticketsandkeepparticipantsfromgoingupthe stairs
too early.
At 9:40AM, the participantsshouldbe allowedupstairsinanorderlyfashion(10at a time soas
to eliminatecongestiononthe stairs).
At 9:45AM, the teapotsshouldbe filledwithwaterfromthe urnsandtransportedintothe Parlor
once the participantsare seated(3at each table).
At 10AM, staff andvolunteerswill be dividedupintosectionsbyMrs.Copp to more efficiently
waiton participants(2tablesperserver).
At 10:30AM, the JonesboroughReparatoryTheaterwillarrive andbe announcedtobegintheir
live entertainment.
Afterwhich,the participantsshouldbe thankedfortheirparticipationandallowedtoleave as
theywish.
Everyparticipantshouldreceiveacouponbooklet before leaving.

finished.
Once the eventisfinished, all surveycardsshouldbe collected.
The dishesshouldbe clearedandall trashshouldbe thrownaway.
Dishescanbe collectedandtakenbackto the McKinneyCentertobe washedandstored(cups,saucers,
plates,andteaspoons).
Chairsshouldbe placedonthe rollingcart until full andthe remaindercanbe placedalongthe wall
nearestthe doorway.
Merchants shouldbe allowedtocome and collecttheirbelongingsfromthe tablesastheywish.
BobbyOlivershouldbe contactedtocome collectthe roundtablesinorderto transportthemback to
the McKinneyCenter.
Anyborrowedgoodshouldbe washedandtakenbackto the owners.
Physical cleaningof the roomwill be conductedbythe cleaningcrew the followingmorning.
However,anylarge trashshouldbe disposedof beforehand.
A printedsurveywillbe giventoeachof the eventparticipantstobe filledoutandreturnedonce the event
has come to an end.
