Krishna Leela Series Part 10 Deliverance Of Nalakuvara & ManigreevaKrishna Bhakti Sangha
1) The document discusses the story of Nalakuvara and Manigreeva, two sons of Kuvera who were cursed by Narada Muni to become trees for 100,000 years after offending him.
2) It describes how as trees in Krishna's courtyard, they received Krishna's mercy and prayers, acknowledging him as the Supreme Lord.
3) It relates their story to verses from the Damodarastakam that praise Krishna's childhood pastimes and ask for prema-bhakti like he gave to Nalakuvara and Manigreeva.
Yudhisthira was overwhelmed with grief after the battle of Kurukshetra. Bhisma consoled the Pandavas and reminded them that Krishna had protected them. He explained that all events, even difficult ones, are arranged by Krishna and part of inevitable time. Bhisma also glorified Krishna as the supreme lord before entering maha samadhi. He encouraged the Pandavas to take shelter of Krishna and remember his instructions on dharma.
This document summarizes a seminar on Varnashrama and Krishna consciousness presented by Hari Kirtan das. It discusses the different varnas (Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra) based on guna and karma. It then describes the different ashramas (Brahmacharya, Grihastha, Vanaprastha, Sannyasa) and their duties. It also discusses women's roles and responsibilities within Varnashrama. Finally, it provides the example of Srila Madhavendra Puri to illustrate how advanced devotees can transcend the rules and rituals of Varnashrama by fully engaging in Krishna
The document discusses the importance and benefits of chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra. It provides scriptural evidence showing that chanting is the most effective spiritual practice for self-realization in Kali Yuga. Specific benefits mentioned include cleansing the mirror of the heart, extinguishing material suffering, expanding transcendental life, and achieving pure love of God. The document encourages chanting loudly and offers various perspectives on proper chanting from scriptural authorities.
The document summarizes the Damodara-ashtakam, an 8 verse prayer to Lord Krishna that describes his childhood pastimes in Vrindavan. It recounts how Krishna stole butter and was caught by his mother Yashoda, who bound him with a rope around his belly. The prayer expresses devotion to Krishna's form as a child bound by the rope, known as Damodara, and seeks his mercy and love. It praises his beautiful face and asks him to manifest within the heart of the devotee.
Sri Purandara Dasa was a 15th-16th century Haridasa saint and composer considered one of the foremost exponents of Carnatic music. He composed thousands of devotional songs known as Dasarapadagalu in languages like Kannada and Sanskrit. Some of his most famous compositions that are widely sung include "Venkatachala Nilayam", "Jagadoddharana", and "En Savi En Savi Harinama". Purandara Dasa systematized Carnatic music teaching and is considered the "Pitamaha" or grandfather of Carnatic music for his influential contributions.
Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is described as the most merciful incarnation who appeared in Kali Yuga to spread the highest form of devotion - love of Godhead in separation. He is accompanied by His associates Nityananda Prabhu, Advaita Prabhu, Gadadhara Pandit, and Srivasa Thakura. The document describes Lord Chaitanya sitting on a jeweled throne while demigods like Brahma perform arati for Him. It depicts the ecstatic kirtan taking place with singing, dancing and musical instruments where Lord Chaitanya's associates fan Him and great devotees like Siva and Narada are overwhelmed with love of God.
The document summarizes the qualities and activities of the six Goswamis of Vrindavan - Rupa Goswami, Sanatana Goswami, Raghunatha Bhatta Goswami, Raghunatha Das Goswami, Jiva Goswami, and Gopala Bhatta Goswami. It describes how they were expert in studying scriptures and establishing religious principles for humanity's benefit. They were fully absorbed in serving Radha and Krishna and experienced divine love while residing in Vrindavan, engaging in chanting, dancing, and other devotional practices.
1. The document discusses Krishna retrieving a jewel called Syamantaka from the demon Jambavan. Krishna and Jambavan fought for 28 days until Jambavan recognized Krishna as the supreme lord.
2. Krishna then convinced the jewel's owner, Satrajit, that he did not steal the jewel. Satrajit was ashamed of falsely accusing Krishna and handed the jewel over to him.
3. Krishna gave the jewel to the temple and it continued producing gold without scarcity or disease, as he reminded the citizens the highest purpose is to please the lord through chanting and hearing about his activities.
Session on Glories of Holy Names- mantra meditationRamanSharma701906
The document discusses the importance and power of chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra based on scriptural evidence from sources like the Bhagavad Purana, Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, and others. It states that in this age of Kali, chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra is the only means to attain liberation and that simply by chanting this mantra one can become free from material bondage. It also explains that whatever spiritual benefits were obtained in previous ages through meditation, sacrifice, or deity worship can now be obtained simply through chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

14. Ten Offenses to be Avoided
• 1) To blaspheme the devotees who have dedicated their lives for propagating the
holy name of the Lord.
• 2) To consider the names of the demigods like Lord Siva or Lord Brahma to be equal
to, or independent of, the name Lord Visnu.
• 3) To disobey the orders of the spiritual master.
• 4) To blaspheme the Vedic literature or literature in pursuance of the Vedic version.
• 5) To consider the glories of chanting Hare Krsna to be imagination.
• 6) To give some interpretation on the holy name of the Lord.
• 7) To commit sinful activities on the strength of chanting the holy name of the Lord.
• 8) To consider chanting of Hare Krsna as one of the auspicious ritualistic activities
offered in the Vedas as fruitive activities (karma-kanda).
• 9) To instruct a faithless person about the glories of the holy name.
• 10) To not have complete faith in the chanting of the holy names and to maintain
material attachments, even after understanding so many instructions on this
matter.
• Every devotee who claims to be a Vaisnava must guard against these offenses in
order to quickly achieve the desired success. Krishna Prema!
