This study evaluated fungicides for controlling Sclerotinia drop of lettuce in Kinston, North Carolina in 2015. Lettuce was transplanted in bare ground beds and inoculated with Sclerotinia sclerotiorum three times over a month period. Fungicides were applied twice, 14 days apart, starting 4 weeks after transplanting. Disease assessments were made weekly for over 2 months. Endura applied at 11 oz per acre resulted in the lowest disease incidence at 16.3%, significantly less than the non-treated control which had 22% incidence. Contans also significantly reduced drop compared to the non-treated control. No phytotoxicity was observed for any treatment.
