After this week's reading, what stood out to me was the methods of ratio analysis where they increase or decrease staffing in relation to that of the demand of the company. such as increased staffing to help alleviate the demand and make the amount of work manageable among everyone. Another was trend analysis, this is usually seen with retails when they hire seasonal staff during the holidays. the last one was forecasting where if the company uses market analysis to make their decisions.

Selection tests generally are designed to test the level of competency of potential employees. For a few jobs that I have applied to, I have encountered a typing test where I had to type so many words in a set time, math test, scenario examinations where i had to provide a list of possible solutions based on a workplace scenario, another was for more of a technical position where I was given a piece of machinery and a maintenance sheet to conduct the work. They would sometimes add a malfunction to see how we handled the situation as well. A lot of these test our level of knowledge, problem resolution, and methods of communication.

In employment planning, is identifying the gaps between current staff and projected staff needs (Dessler, 2016, pg. 128). One technique is utilizing a strong recruitment and selection process. Gathering data, identify positions needed (or not needed), and putting together a strategic plan on who’s filling those gaps. Then it should be implementation, this should include any training programs.
Forecasting is estimating what your workforce demand will be in the future. This can be looking at different reports, such as turnover rates and ratio analysis, and determine the outcome from that.

Selection test is different types of employee selection tests that staff authorities can issue. Depending on the job, the following are types of test:

· Aptitude Test – test that measures cognitive or mental abilities such as reasoning, comprehension and memory.
· Personality Test – test that measures aspects of personality “such as introversion, stability, and motivation. These test in its self also focused on different dimensions of personality such as emotional stability, extraversion, and openness to experience.

Readings and discussions of pro and con views on various issues during the semester highlighted two realities. One, values play a

we make those value-based choices in a society and economy that can expand or constrain the number and type of options from which

In this new world, people who are from all over the world have been moving into America and intending to start and live a better life. Emigrants from Africa, Europe, South America, and Asia, among other regions of the world, have all come in the US hoping for better political, economic and social conditions. They just have one thing in their minds, and that is to achieve the American dream. In addition, the American Dream is just like that life should be better, richer and fuller for every person, with opportunity for each based on his ability or achievement. It is a national spirit that represents the best possible life of the American population. Everyone has an opportunity to be successful, lead a prosperous life, and have the freedom to climb up the economic ladder along with their family and children, without any regard to their origin or social class. Also, the United States usually declared the independence that is the American Dream should let all people are equal and have the freedom to enjoy life, liberty, and happiness. Furthermore, practically, realizing the American dream is to own a house built on a private land. President Bill Clinton emphasized that for one to realize this dream, they have to work hard in order to have a chance for personal development and advancement. Living the American Dream is the principal goal for the majority of American citizens and those that have been fighting to attain American citizenship. However, the realization of this dream has proved to be a nightmare for most Americans because of many reasons (Cullen, 2004, p. 124). And then the American Dream for most American has been rendered unrealistic and impossible to achieve.
In 2000, after many years of significant economic development and success, the rate of poverty of both Latino and African American populations was still close to three times higher than that of the white American white population. Even though this difference was alarming, the previous decades had seen worse with higher disparities recorded. When the economy made a slow turn to the worse after 2000, the rate of poverty among the minorities rose significantly higher than that of the whites. They result in a widened poverty gap and make the realization of the American Dream among them even seem impossible (Soyer, 2016). Although the number of Americans living in poverty reduced by over a million between 2004 and 2005, the poverty levels of the minorities heightened.
Gender has also been an obstacle for most people to achieve the American Dream. Since ancient times, the men have been viewed by the society as stronger, able and the host of their families. This notion has identified women as a minority gender and made it difficult for them to get ahead of society’s stereotype against them. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
