The Iranian Al Qaeda, in the Making…

Dear Mr. President,
I do not know if you will receive this e-mailed letter but it will be posted for public viewing and judgment
of your decision regarding the historical mistake your Secretary of State is about to make in removing
MEK from the United States Terrorist list.
You have repeatedly said, “The buck stops with me.” It is important that you exercise your power before
it is too late. Your Secretary of State is about to change the base line of your foreign policy from, “We
don’t negotiate with Terrorists” to “It is not Ok to be a Terrorist….unless you are working for us.”
As you can see in the inserted link, I also sent Secretary Clinton a more detailed direct letter. I value your
time but I want you to know a few things about Iranians.
First: We are not Arabs. We are highly patriotic people. The Persian Gulf wasn’t named because there
was a Shah in Iran. It has been called that over 7000 years and we intend to keep it that way.
Second: We are not Afghans or Iraqis. We love the Jewish people. Cyrus the Great is also known as
Messiah among Israeli people because of his actions. Kurds are considered Aryans, the first civilized
people in the world.
Third: Kurds in Iran consider themselves children of the Cyrus the Great and I am a Kurd.
Last but not least, you will be making a great enemy out of the only country in Persian Gulf whose people
truly love Americans and Jewish people.
Despite Iranian regime negative comments about Israel, it has NOT influenced our behavior toward the
Jewish people. Jews born and raised in Iran consider themselves Persian and we consider them the same.
The rest are Israelites. The Holy Koran says Israelites are among the smartest people. My Jewish friends
think I am joking but I know a lot of smart people and many of them happen to be Jewish.
I must emphasize: During your 2008 campaign, you made accusations that President Bush lived in a
bubble and did not receive accurate intelligence about Iraq while making momentous decisions regarding
that country. I am sorry to be blunt but you are doing exactly the same about Iran. You are making the
same mistakes your predecessor did because you somehow believe MEK is loved by Iranians. On the
contrary, there is no more hated group among Iranian people.
As I indicated in the letter to Mrs. Clinton, MEK has absolutely no base or sympathy in Iran. The Iranian
people hate this group with a passion for the crimes they committed against Iranians. MEK sided with
Iran’s enemy when we needed them most. When Sadam ordered the rape of every woman in Khoram-
Shahr, MEK leaders were wining and dining in Sadam’s palaces. A city of half a million was reduced to
rubble while they enjoyed Sadam’s hospitality. While our soldiers as young as 12 years old were being
electrocuted in the ditches of Basra MEK was aiding the enemy of our country. When Iran’s sovereignty
was under attack, MEK was enjoying Sadam’s attention and millions of dollars of Iraqis’ money.
MEK leaders are not only responsible for war crimes against Iranians but also against Iraqis. Your
Secretary of State is about to delist them with a signature as if the rest of Iranians are lying about the
crimes MEK has committed against Iranian women, children and particularly Kurds. This one-sided court
of policy opinion needs some heavy handed intervention.

MEK spends a great deal of money that they claim was donated to them lobbying in the United States but
they don’t feel obligated to inform US tax payers the money was donated to an organization on the
Terrorist list of United States.
In 2009, I was in Senator Coburn’s office when their representative, Alireza Jafarzadeh, walked in asking
for help. I told the Senator’s Chief of Staff that this man is considered an enemy of my country.
Congressman Joe Wilsons’ office told me MEK is soliciting the Congressman’s assistance to get off the
Terrorist list. They had wrongly assumed I supported MEK but I set them straight, telling them exactly
what I am stating here.
If MEK is or was on the Terrorist list, why has their representative been working for Fox News since
2003. This isn’t my statement. Mr. Jafarzadeh indicates that on his internet biography. In an interview
with a Times reporter, he laughingly mocked the list, stating, “We are on the Terrorist list.” How many
Terrorists can work for Fox and have an office in DC?
Mr. President, if you delist MEK and allow them to receive grants through foundations while they are
already receiving grants from Neoconservative think tanks, you will be the third US President in thirty
years to make the worst kind of decisions about Iran.
First, the Shah was left on his own by Carter. Then, Reagan decided to help Sadam with a war against
Iran. It is your turn now. Will you keep Iranians as true friends in Middle East or will you delist MEK to
appeal to your Israeli partner and Jewish voters? Which is more valuable?
The October 1 timeline of getting MEK off the terrorist list is fast approaching. Whether or not they sign
a non-violence agreement does not matter. The Iranian people saw years ago what MEK was capable of.
I was a child when I saw chador clad woman carrying Kalashnikovs shoot Shah soldiers at close range. A
normal woman would not be able to kill that easily in broad daylight unless she was trained to kill by
someone like MEK!
If the United States gives a green light to MEK because they work closely with Israel, it will
simultaneously create the Iranian version of Al Qaeda. History will come to judge you unfavorably.
President Bush has been mocked for destroying two countries. You will be mocked for destroying the
Persian culture. Iranian history is written all over Iranian cities and villages. There is no such a thing as a
kind bomb, a kind or soft war or a gentle enemy.
MEK leaders and dedicated members know no humanity! Brain-washed MEK members are the type of
soldiers Hitler would have called “perfect Aryans.” Please take my word; you do not want to be
associated with them. The sanctity of life has no meaning to them. Their policy is: “you are either with us
or against us.” Anyone standing in front of them is their enemy. MEK members are known to be fierce,
and good at guerrilla war with no remorse or consideration for the safety of women and children or of
Persian Culture Universal Heritage sites. If they must, they will bomb a historical city inch by inch to kill
whoever is on their radar. Or, will use war machines to kill one lonely solider at his post, regardless of the
fact that solider must have been forced to stand there. He too, is the son of Iranian people.
Too frequently, we regret unleashing the power of evil and wish for an undo. Unfortunately, life doesn’t
offer second chances to undo war or evil. Your administration is about to unleash something you will
regret for decades. Most of all, Americans will regret and suffer from your decision.

I am a devout practicing Muslim. I know the religious practices of MEK, both mentally and physically,
toward their members. The United States has been making the same mistake over and over for thirty
years: Bin Laden, Sadam and now MEK.
The sad part is: US soldiers will pay with their lives, US tax payers will pay with their money. Iranians
will pay with both and America will lose the only genuinely friendly population it has in the Middle East.
While the chest thumping of the Iranian regime is annoying, they are falling from within. Regime leader,
Khamenei, in a private message expressed serious concern about basic food prices. Khamenei not only
warned members of Ahmadinejad’s government. He reminded them,” I told you, every man’s dignity is in
providing for his family. When he can’t provide, nothing else matters, no religion, no country, no
government… nothing matters.” If you think this is a small statement the intelligence given to you about
Iran is not complete.
The leader of the Green movement of Iran your administration cares so much about was the Prime
Minister of Iran in 1980s. He ordered the hanging of MEK leaders and many more from the Shah’s army.
His hands are soaked in the blood of Iranians. MEK can’t get to Iran fast enough to have his head on a
stick. You may think there will be order in Iran after MEK takes over but we know differently from
experience.
I had no intention of telling the public that I worked with the FBI on cases of fake Iranian opposition and
in 2010 received three death threats from MEK. However, the decision by the US government to remove
MEK from the list of terrorist compels me to warn you that if you do this, you will unleash the next Al
Qaeda. You will start the Middle East War on a different level. MEK is the type of cult you don’t want to
work with. They kill their member’s execution style when one tries to leave the group. Their leaders
commit heinous crimes against Kurds and will kill anyone standing against them both in Iran and outside.
This is not a decision to be taken lightly because a few retired Generals lobbied for them. Mr. President, I
am begging you, please do not delist this group. You will not like your decision in the future.
Republicans want you to do this quickly because whatever happens will be on you, your party and your
administration. There will immense political jeopardy if you allow this to happen.
As we say in Persian, “If there is anyone in the house, one knock at the door is enough to alert the house
owner.” I have said too much, I hope you have heard my voice of deep concern. I pray you come to the
right decision. The Mr. Right now policy is not going to work toward Iran. Your administration needs to
invest in policies that guarantee a future with mutual respect, admiration of Persian cultural heritage and a
stable relationship with the Iranian people. That will guarantee long lasting peace for Israel and the safety
of the United States from any possible attacks in the Middle East.
Sincerely,
Ghazal Omid
