Swans migrate annually to a lake near the village of Urozhainy in the Altai region of Russia to spend the winter, as the lake is heated by warm springs and has an air temperature of minus 35 degrees Celsius. About 600 swans fly to this lake each year to escape the cold temperatures elsewhere in the region during winter months.
