In 2013, among the world reported cases of pulmo- nary tuberculosis, 450,000 were MDR-TB or XDR-TB. Almost 60% of them were located at India, China and Russian Federation. In Spain, in 2012, 6,046 cases of tu- berculosis were reported, with a 3.9- 4.3% proportion of MDR-TB; and approximately 6% of them could be XDR- TB, a higher ratio than other occidental countries
