July 1776 the Declaration of Independence was
signed and new nation was established.

is the President.

in the western part of the country.
The Rocky Mountains with the highest peak
Mt. Whitney (4,421 m high).
The Alaska Range with the highest peak
Denali (6,190 m high).

5 lakes (Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, Ontario)
- located in northeastern on the Canada–US border
- the biggest supply of fresh water in the world
- Lake Superior is the second largest lake
in the world
- the most industrial part of the USA.
