4. Mom: SIMON!
Simon: Mom can’t you hear I am a little busy
Mom: I need both of you to come in the living room right now
Simon: Does it have to be this second?
Mom: Yes dear
5. I think people are sometimes scared to admit that they are involved in an
unhealthy relationship. On the other hand, it is sometimes hard to
recognize whether the relationship is healthy or unhealthy. You must ask
yourself the following questions.
6. Is there mutual trust in your relationship? it is important that both persons in the relationship respect each
other for their own individuality. Is there trust? If you cannot trust each other to not cheat or flirt that is a sign
you are in a unhealthy relationship. Next you both must understand that you are not the same person it is not
abnormal to have to make comprises, however, too many compromises is not a good thing.
7. Can you be honest with the other person? if you feel like you have to constantly hide and lie to your partner you should consider
removing yourself from that relationship. For a relationship to be successful there needs to be a good sense of fairness. You
should both make an equal amount of decisions and learn how to balance your time between your partner and your friends.
Finally is the communication good and clear between you two? Miscommunication is very common between girls and guys due to
the fact they think differently. Being able to speak up when you are not certain of the message that is coming across is a very
good skill to have and will prevent miscommunication.
8. I think you should
head back to your
room and talk it out
WITHOUT arguing
What was I
thinking?I want to
fix this
9. My mom was right, we need to
talk about this. I would really like
to make this work.
I agree.
10. Simon and Amanda talked for 3 hours and eventually
came to a resolution if they want to make it work they
will both need to put effort in.
Simon and Amanda’s situation is much like several
relationships in the real world. These questions are
mandatory parts of a relationship.
