There are a numbers of factors which affect the stability of an object.

    1. The base area.
    > The bigger the base area, the more stable the
    object is.


    2. Height
    > The higher the object, the less stable it is.


     3. The materials used.
     > Example of materials used for construction are
     concrete, wood, steel and plastic.
A bottle in an upright position has a bigger base area.
It is therefore more stable than a bottle in an upside
                    down position.

Concrete is very strong and can
              be formed into any shape




Wood does not break easily
Steel is the strongest
                   material available




Plastic can be strecthed and
pulled
