St. John's Lutheran School teachers created a podcast version of the school newspaper to cut down on paper waste and engage students. Sixth grade students wrote news articles on assigned topics which were edited by eighth graders. The sixth graders then recorded audio versions of the articles using Audacity and added music from ccMixter. The podcast files were uploaded to Podbean and distributed through an RSS feed on iTunes, making the newspaper available online and via podcast.
