Steps for Focusing Microscope Always start on SCANNING POWER Make sure stage is down Place slide on stage Turn coarse knob slowly back until object comes into view Center object & Fine Focus Turn to Low Power, Center, & Focus Turn to High Power, Center, & Focus Once on High Power, use FINE adjustment knob ONLY .
