The winners will be the picks and shovels of this gold rush. They are the tech giants that have the scale of data, talent, capital and distribution to power the AI revolution. But enterprises stand to create nearly $4 trillion in value from AI by 2022. But to get AI and data science projects out of experimentation and into use across the organisation requires mobilising and engaging the executive team. AI startups that are looking to scale also need to cross the commercial divide from technology to the enterprise.

6 Ways To Use Artificial Intelligence In Your Businessvenkatvajradhar1
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has long been seen as a vicious entity, dead to exterminate humanity, or at least, to keep its members out of commission. However, artificial intelligence is far from it, which brings us to the question: What is AI?
Simply put, it translates into the ability of a computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks that are usually associated with intelligent creatures, usually humans. As a result, it exhibits the ability to reason, find meaning, generalize, or learn from experience..

Technology will continue to play a big role in terms of the global economy. Countries need to revisit their various policies as part of supporting the technology sector in their country.
Rapidly evolving technology is creating many opportunities for strategic technologies to rise in the market. As the demand for specific skills increases, let's look at the current trends for an IT professional to follow.
Canada has struggle for the past few years with attracting key FDI, especially in areas like natural resources development.
Canada has also struggle with how to best approach innovation. The so-called job clusters have failed to achieve the desired outcome. More needs to be done to better support innovation across Canada.
The public sector payroll continues to grow. The size of government is becoming a enormous issues for many countries, especially in areas like value for money, improving outcomes, and tax fairness.

Gt briefing sept 2014 the robots are coming pppTracey Keys
Robotics and automation, including use of smart machines and the rise of the internet of things, is entering a new phase as these technologies advance. In its initial stages, this emerging industry of the future has been largely built on passionate researcher and visionary advocates. However, it has become obvious that robotics technology is no longer for the few but a technology permeating our world.
Even though these new technologies can empower individuals, businesses and societies there are fears that the human race, in the long term, will be outnumbered, outdated, and outthought by the next generation of robots and smart machines. This presentation accompanies our September 2014 GT briefing, based on our forthcoming report, “Industries of the Future: Robotics,” and looks at: How robotic technology is impacting existing industries and markets; .How innovative robotic technologies could impact jobs and skills required for the future.
Ninety Consulting white paper: The rise of the robo-insurerDan White
This white paper deals with the impacts and opportunities of robotics, drones and artificial intelligence on the insurance sector.
Lord Wei, Chair of Ninety's Future Strategy Board, says in his foreword to this white paper:
"A cyborg future in which robotic technologies work together with humans - when implemented properly and sensitively - will no doubt enable a better, more efficient service to be provided by businesses, freeing up workers to focus on interactions with customers that require empathy, creativity, and intuition, and which drive new kinds of sales, rather than on routine, dangerous, and more mundane tasks."
These are views that are often brought up in such conversations. What we hope to have done here is to have added to the conversation about how this impacts insurance specifically.
Projected to witness a soaring growth, Machine Learning is been considered a top Technical Skill according to the employers in the technological arena.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
