Q-Pulse will run in a ‘Thin-client’ environment, i.e. the application is stored on the
server and is loaded into your memory, it is not stored locally, and will not have to be
installed on your PC, as.
The short cut points to the Marcroft ‘Application Server’: E:QPulse4qpulse4_32.exe.
To log in you will need a valid Q-Pulse login which can only be created by an
Administrator. e.g.
When you have logged in you will see the main Q-Pulse Menu screen in a window:
The main screen that you will use will be the ‘Documents’ screen. Most of the other
functions will be grey, and will not function unless you are an administrator, or have
been given access to other screens.

The default screen you see is the Document Register screen below, however you
now need to navigate to the Document area which is relevant to you. Select the
Document Type in the lower left corner.
This is an extensive menu, so
you can use the slide bar to
scroll down many Sub
headings.

Searching
Because there are 5000 records to search, you will find the search routine a bit limiting,
however, if you follow this guide, the chance of you finding what you are looking will be
improved:
Search will bring up the following screen. Let’s search for the key word: Wagon
Type ‘Wagon’ into the box ‘Search for Document title. Then select ‘Containing’ as this
produces better results than ‘Starting With’. Finally select: ‘Find’. The search will come up with
a list like the one below.
Which ever screen you are on, if
you select the RIGHT mouse
button, you will see the menu on
the left appear
Highlight the
document you
want to view by
selecting so that
it turns blue.
Then select
Register. This will
take you to the
page in the
Register. Double
Click the
document. It will
then open the
document in
Adobe Acrobat.

PRINTING
If you want to
print the listing of
a folder, select
the Right Mouse
Button, and then
select Print, from
the Context
Sensitive menu.
Q-Pulse will
select the default
printer in your
Citrix or local
profile. See right.
The Print
dialogue box is
set to print all
pages.
