This document outlines a sound planetarium project that aims to sonify data about stars and space. It discusses using sound to represent star qualities like brightness, color and motion. Techniques like ambisonics will be used to spatialize the sounds. An initial test involved mapping data for 10 stars rotating. Further tests are planned and the goals include creating an educational, scientific and artistic resource, including one to help blind people experience astrophysics. Key research findings so far and next steps are outlined.
