This document announces a networking event for female undergraduate and graduate alumni and current women MBA students from the UConn School of Business. The event will take place on February 23rd from 6-8pm at Hot Tomatos in Hartford, Connecticut and will allow attendees to meet people, expand their professional network, learn about upcoming events from the UConn Women MBA Network, and promote their personal brand.
Their products includes impressive precast concrete retaining wall blocks that are designed to be transported behind a pickup truck, and erect on stable soil, while maintaining a production rate and product quality comparable with any standard traditional concrete plant.

This is the presentation I delivered at the women in financial services event held by IBM in Toronto. The audience included women from our Canadian financial services clients as well as IBMers who serve those clients.

Your Network is your key to creating the future you want. Find out who is in your network, who you need in your network and how to maintain those relationships to further your career. In this workshop, you will assess your current network and how it meets the needs of your future plans. You will develop a plan to strengthen, deepen and increase your network to achieve the goals you want to achieve.

One of the significant challenges women face in networking is how to effectively “lean in” to the opportunity. In ‘Lean In’ Networking, you’ll learn mechanics of networking and how to define a successful personal brand. You will also learn about the networking ecosystem, the three core pieces of successful networking and tips for addressing your personal networking challenges. And how to tie it all together, go out there and “lean in.”
