INTEROFFICE M EM ORANDUM
TO: MR. B. KLASSEN, PRINCIPAL OF GOVORNOR SIMCOE
FROM: TYREN ST.CYR, 2 COLTON AVE. ST. CATHARINE’S
SUBJECT: SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS
DATE: DECEMBER 1, 2014

Dear Mr. B. Klassen:
My first few months at Governor Simcoe have been outstanding, everything from the
pin-drop-silent MSIP classes to the loud and dysfunctional English rooms, every factor has
surpassed my expectations in every way. However to make this incredible school even better
there are some minor improvements that I personally believe would make this school the full
package and draw more cherished students in.
As most may know, our generation is full of talent in all areas. Considering how musically
inclined many of our students are, I believe that a more diverse and more sophisticated music
program would be just what this school needs to bring in the vast majority of students each
year.
Everybody knows how hard it is to adapt to a new school especially when you move to high
school. Something I noticed during my first few days was the awkwardness of using the
cafeteria. AlthoughIwasensured thatit is for everybodyit stillseemslikesomething is missing
from it. Overall size would make a great change but something I believe would make
everybody more entertained and comfortable inside the cafeteria would be a large TV for
people to watch while waiting in line or eating in the cafeteria. I believe this would be an
effective way into getting students to ease their way onto high school quicker and become
more comfortable and sociable within their new environment.
Lastly, it was quite noticeablethat there is a large amount of interest and talentthroughout the
athletics and sportsmanship of my fellow peers as well as the general population of the school
and public school ready to burst into high school with full and exiting intentions on playing
for their school sports team. I believe in order to impress and draw in these large amounts of

personalitiesyou needto makeyourself seem big and powerful, this being saidI think it would
be wise to build a new and improved gymnasium. I believe that this would work more than
effectively to draw the younger eyes and minds toward this school and open up many more
opportunities for Governor Simcoe to do great things.
Even without these ideas in this school I think these school could easily meet anyone’s
expectations and then some. It’s always nice to draw in more and more students each year all
with their unique set of skills and talents and these are just some ways to do so. I hope you
take my thoughts and wishes to consideration, Thank You!
Sincerely, Tyren St. Cyr
