Getting Started:
There are four kinds of sentences. They
have different punctuation marks.

1.Declarative sentence is also called telling
sentence. It states a fact and ends with a period (.)
Examples:
Michaela studies her lessons.
She listens to her teacher.

We are going to Boracay.
I brought my swimwear
and a hat.
2. Interrogative sentence is also called asking
sentence. It states a question and ends with a
question mark (?)
Examples:
Where are you going?
May I go to the comfort room?
What do you have for lunch?
What is your favorite snack?

Either a command or a request, is
considered as imperative sentence.
3. Imperative sentence expresses command or
request. It also ends with a period (.)
Request has polite words while command is just an
order.
Examples:
Please wait for me.
Kindly tie my shoelace.
Please help me carry these books.
Step aside and clear the way.

4. Exclamatory sentence expresses a strong
or sudden emotion.
It ends with an exclamation point (!).
Examples:
Hurray, I passed the test!
Help! The house is on fire!
Wow! It is beautiful up here!
I am flying!
