This document outlines 11 different types of pavement cracks that may require repair, including fatigue cracking which looks like alligator skin, block cracking which forms blocks, and edge cracks along pavement edges. Other crack types are linear cracks, reflection cracks at joints or obstructions, transverse cracks across lanes, slippage cracks, potholes, rutting from vehicle tracks, and shoving from braking or acceleration.
