Ty Specht has extensive experience in educational facility planning and universal design. He holds both a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from North Dakota State University. His thesis focused on universal design theories for architectural design for the deaf. As an assistant project manager, he has contributed his expertise in DeafSpace and universal design to projects covering academic and community facilities. He helps lead his firm's national PK-12 practice and has developed over $8 billion in school master plans and capital improvement programs.
