This document discusses the differences between two gospel streams or views. It summarizes that one view is that sin is part of human nature, so perfection and overcoming sin is impossible. The other view is that through Christ's power, one can overcome sin and live a sinless life. It explores the implications of these views for the nature of Christ and sin. The conclusion advocates for the view that presents Jesus as both a substitute and example who overcame sin, and enables believers to do the same. This determines salvation and the true gospel message.
The third study in our "Growing Deep in the Gospel" series. In this study we answer the question "What isn't the Gospel?" by looking at false gospels, the difference between religion and the gospel and three ways to live: be your own god, make yourself right with God and trust Jesus.

Salvation and faith, Why didn't Jesus Christ indwell, The necessity of faith...franktsao4
From John 14:23, it is mentioned that if we obey God’s commands, Jesus Christ will live in us. But if we do not have the indwelling of Jesus Christ, that means we do not pass the test of the indwelling of Jesus Christ. Then, What is the problem? It means that although we are observing God’s commands on the surface, but in fact we have not obeyed God’s commands. How can we check it out? This is the focus of this chapter.

We have essentially told him that Jesus would give him all the things that would enhance his life. Then when persecution and tribulation comes, he falls away. When life gets hard, he becomes bitter, casting off the Savior and consequently resenting those that had told him the “good news”.
It is common to refer to the process of maturing as a disciple as spiritual formation. Here, based upon work by Greg Ogden, I give a four stage process for growing into maturity, and fruitfulness, as a follower of King Jesus.
There are many preaching the prophecy of 2520. Personally I dont find it a time prophecy. However I find a principle of scattering and gathering a biblical principle that need to be understood by many before the final gathering - The Loud Cry (Rev 18:1-4)

Based on Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges, this lesson looks at the remedy for sin, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians tend to forget that the Gospel is for sinners and that they still qualify as such. This lessons talks about how to deal with sin in your life and how to preach the Gospel to yourself each morning.

4. THE TWO GOSPEL STREAMS
Presented at the 2nd Mind of Christ
Ministries Bible seminar
By
Thaddeus Kaweesi
Gal 1:8
5. Questions on Doctrine Pg 650
• A Christian can reach a place where he/she
doesn’t sin, even by thought.
• A baby is born guilty of Adam’s sin
• Atonement was finished/completed on the
cross
• 1 Kings 16:30-34, 18:18-21
6. THE CHOICE
• "There has been a departure from God among us, and the zealous
work of repentance and return to our first love essential to
restoration to God and regeneration of heart, has not yet been
done. Infidelity has been making its inroads into our ranks; for it is
the fashion to depart from Christ, and give place to skepticism.
With many the cry of the heart has been, 'We will not have this
man to reign over us.' Baal, Baal, is the choice” Life sketches Pg
326
• “The religion of many among us will be the religion of apostate
Israel, because they love their own way, and forsake the way of
the Lord. The true religion, the only religion of the Bible, that
teaches forgiveness only through the merits of a crucified and risen
Saviour, that advocates righteousness by the faith of the Son of
God, has been slighted, spoken against, ridiculed, and rejected. It
has been denounced as leading to enthusiasm and fanaticism” ibid
7. • “Unless divine power is brought into the experience of
the people of God, false theories and erroneous ideas
will take mind captive, Christ and His righteousness
will be dropped out of the experience of many and
their faith will be without power or life” Review and
Herald Sept 5 1889
• “Such will not have a daily, living experience of love of
God in the heart and if they don’t zealously repent,
they will be among those who are represented by
laodiceans who will be spewed out of the mouth of
God” ibid
8. What do you think about this?
• “original sin” – we are guilty by birth. There is guilt in
our evil desires, even when resisted by the will.
• Jesus doesn’t have the same nature as we have, for
that would make Him guilty by birth. If He were like us
He would be born with a sinning nature, already a
sinner
• As a result, we cannot overcome, for sin is part of our
nature, and we will retain our nature until Jesus comes
9. • Therefore we cannot become perfect because it is
impossible to follow all the light we have with a sinning
nature
What distinguishes the two gospel streams
The two gospels results from different understanding of
two issues:
The nature of Jesus Christ
The nature of sin
10. THE NATURE OF CHRIST
• Rom 1:3, Phil 2:5-7, Heb 2:16-18, Rom 8:3
• “It was in the order of God that Christ should take upon
Himself the form and nature of fallen man, that He might
be made perfect through the suffering and Himself
endured the strength of Satan’s fierce temptation, that He
might understand how to succor those who should be
tempted.” Spirit of Prophecy Vol 2 pg 39
• “The son of God, who is the express image of the Fathers
person became man's advocate and redeemer. He
humbled Himself in talking the nature of man in his fallen
condition, but He didnt take the taint of sin”Manuscript
Releases Vol 17 24
• Heb 4:14,15
11. Implication
• “Jesus revealed no qualities and exercised no powers
that men may not have through faith in Him. His
perfect humanity is which all His followers may
possess, if they will be in subjection to God as He was”
Desire of Ages 664
• “But our savior took humanity with all its liabilities. He
took the nature of man, with the possibility of yielding
to temptation. We have nothing to bear which He has
not endured” Desire of Ages 117
• Jesus is not only our savior but our example
• 1 Pet 2:21-22 -----Rev 14:1-5; Rev 3:21
12. NATURE OF SIN
• The concept of “original sin” is not correct. It is a basis
of the wrong gospel. According to this concept, sin is
part of our nature.
• Against our will, all the son and daughters of the first
Adam inherit from him consequences of his sin which
include a fallen nature, bent towards disobedience to
God.
Implication
• Check – If sin is part of our nature, babies are born
guilty of Adam's sin – so is Christ (Rom 1:3). If so then
we have no savior – He had a blemish
• Because sin is part of our nature, no one can overcome
sin on this earth – we shall keep sinning till Christ takes
us from this body
13. COMPARISON OF TWO GOSPELS
• One say that you will continue to sin until Jesus comes.
The other say that you can overcome all sin through
His power
• One says that Jesus is our substitute but not our
example-we can't be like Christ. The other says that
Jesus is both our Substitute and our example.
• One says perfection is impossible. The other say bible
perfection (living up to all the light you have) is a must
• Those with the wrong gospel will be lost – this is a life
and death issue
14. CONCLUSION
• Because of our sinful nature – not sinning nature, there is
a bent toward sin, but this bent can be successfully
resisted by the reborn christian through the power of
Jesus working through the life
• In this view, Jesus was born with the sinful nature (Rom
8:3) but never sinned b'se He made right choices through
the power of Holy Spirit working in and through Him
• Wrong perception of the nature of Christ and sin leads to
wrong gospel and ultimately loss
• True gospel should be in light of the sanctuary – three
angels messages (Rev 14:6-12)
