• The advert is of a little girl teaching her dad

• Oreo’s are a children’s snack but adults can
enjoy it too.
• There is a certain way to eating an Oreo.
5. Advertisement
• Overt – It is an obvious advertisement because it is
advertising Oreo’s. It is shown on TV.

6. Mise-en-scene
• Two Characters – one young girl and her dad
• Setting – the living room, under a makeshift tent with a kids
table. Later on they’re in the kitchen.
• Lighting – Its bright when they’re under the tent, showing
daytime and innocence. Its dark when they are in the kitchen
showing night-time and mischief.
• Costume – The little girl is in a dressing up costume and then
we see her in her pyjamas this shows how young she is. The
dad is in a suit showing his power and responsibility, later in
the kitchen he is in his pyjamas representing his child-
likeness and showing he isn’t as mature as he seems.
• Props – The fort/tent. The miniature table. The glass of milk,
the Oreos. The fridge. The doll. The sign. The teddy bear.
7. Devices of Persuasion
• Repetition – The word “hmm” portraying how
delicious Oreos are.
• Reward – Oreo’s are nice.
• Envy – You wish you had Oreos.
• Humour – its funny. A child telling her dad he
can’t have one.
8. Technical Codes
She’s on the higher angle and he’s on the lower
angle. This shows how she has authority over
him. This contrasts because he’s wearing a
suit and is business-like.
