STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics. These core subjects underpin many industry
sectors like manufacturing and oil and gas, and STEM education
even impacts global economic growth.
STEM – what is it?
 Teachers TryScience is a web site for teachers, powered by IBM.
 This site provides free and engaging lessons, along with teaching
strategies and resources, which are designed to spark students’
interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
(STEM).

TTS serves to promote scientific temper and curiosity among teachers and students.

2.  From any browser go to www.teacherstryscience.org
 Click Register button.
 Keep ready your E-mail ID; if not having one create one.
(no capital letters or blank spaces in E-mail ID)
 Read the instructions, understand and proceed.
 Ready with a user name for you.
 You will be directed to registration page; read what is given
below every item, understand and proceed.
 Type a valid username; the system will inform if the name
is already taken or invalid. Correct and proceed.
 Type your E-mail ID: the system will inform if the ID
is already registered or invalid. Correct and proceed.
 Select Person as the role.
 Select India as your country, from the drop
down menu.
 Enter the name of the city you live in.
 Check the box to confirm that your age is
over 18 years.
 Check the box to confirm that you agree the
terms of the site
 Check the box to confirm that you are not a
robot
 Click Create New Account button
 You will see a message displayed as,
 A welcome message with further instructions has
been sent to your e-mail address.
 Open your mailbox and check for mail from
teacherstryscience at inbox.
 Login to your mail and you will
see in the inbox a mail from
teacherstryscience.
 (If not found, check spam box
and mark not spam).
 Open the mail.

3.  On opening the mail, you may see like
this.
 Click the blue link saying, “see the entire
message” to view full message.
 Read the mail carefully, understand and click the blue link. This will take you to your profile page
in the TTS website.

 Your username and E-Mail
address are already there;
 Type a password for TTS
account.
 Confirm the password typed, by
retyping here.
 Check for passwords match and
scroll down.
 Upload your photo.
 Select your language.
 Check the personal contact form box.
 Set the time zone – (Asia, Kolkata..etc.) and click Save button.
 This message will appear at the
top of the page.
 Now you can start using the
TTS website
