from advising/confirming banks.
 Moving of LCs from one bank to another bank for confirmation or silent
confirmation on LCs.
 Ensure workable L/C received before shipment schedule date.
 Enter accurately L/C text into system (SAP/ERP), approve for shipment, generate
shipping documents, safe custody of documents for dispatch and/or negotiation
with banks.
 Provide appropriate instructions for different types of B/Ls, B/L draft checking,
reviewing and approving final B/L, Seaway Bills drafts, Surrender B/Ls, Telex
Release Messages, & Switch B/Ls, different types of shipping certificates and
Truck Consignment Notes
 Prepare error free shipping documents for L/C and successfully negotiate with
banks, on time.
 Ensure customer receiving shipping documents for clearing cargo on time.
 Resolving discrepancies with banks and applicants, follow-up for payments
receivables, check claims, if any.

2.  Responsible for preparation and distribution on shipment related reports to
managements.
 Proper records keeping/maintaining data of LC files/folders, amendments,
checklist, last date of shipment, negotiation period and LC expiry dates.
 Coordinate with independent Surveyors such as SGS etc., for full load port survey
reports.
 Contact Shipping Company agents, Freight forwarders on freight costs, port
charges and handling fees and Import country Customs broker services
 Familiarise with import rules and regulations of foreign countries and export
regulations.
 Handle and prepare all shipping documents for buy & sell trade where cargoes
originating in foreign countries, cargo delivering in another foreign countries and
documents negotiating in Qatar bank(s).
 Processing Purchase Orders/LPOs/Proforma Invoices, preparing of
Sales/Commercial Invoice, Return cargo process, Inventory Stock Adjustment.
Identifying mistakes/gaps, recommending improvements in system and
procedures adopted.
 Measures minimizing risk and improve delivery standards to customers.
