The Collserola tower was built in 1992 in Barcelona by architect Norman Foster to serve as a new symbol of the city and mark its entry into a new stage and future. Standing at 288 meters, it is the tallest building in the city and located 425 meters above sea level, with 13 floors. The tower functions as the telecommunications hub for Catalonia, transmitting 100% of TV and 95% of radio signals. Norman Foster, born in 1935 in Manchester, is a renowned British architect who designed the tower with Ove Arup & Partners and has received many awards for his work.
