This document discusses the mission of the Church and its social doctrine. It begins by exploring the nature and role of the Church as established by Jesus Christ to embrace all people with love and guide them to salvation. It then examines how the Church offers help to individuals, society, and human activity through revealing God's message, protecting human dignity, and uniting people. The document also notes how the Church receives help from the world. It discusses key Church teachings around marriage, family, rights, and work. The remainder summarizes the work of NASSA, the social development arm of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, in promoting sustainable agriculture, good governance, and empowering communities through various programs and partnerships.

There is a lot of speculation about what happens when we die. People have many ideas. Which ones are true? Does the bible tell us what other people say it tells us about death and the afterlife? This public bible presentation was given in London, Ontario and Hye, Texas in 2013 and 2014.
This presentation was given on August 10, 2013 to the parish catechetical leaders in Savannah, GA. The first half is the importance of continually forming yourself and the second half is about forming your catechists . Ongoing formation is important for all of us.

2 Peter 3: Because some scriptures are hard to understand and some will force them to say things God never intended, Peter warns us to take care.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.

5. THE CHURCH: Our MOTHER AND
TEACHER
Jesus Christ entrusted the
Church “ to hold the
world in an embrace of
love, that men in every
age should find in her
their own completeness
in a higher order of
living, and their ultimate
salvation”
Mater et Magistra # 1
6. “the Universal Church has been
instituted by Jesus Christ so that
all who in the long course of
centuries come to her for loving

7. “you are Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church, and the powers of death
will not prevail against it”
Mt 16:18
8. “I will give you the keys of the
kingdom of heaven, and
whatever you bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven, and
whatever you loose on earth
shall be loosed in heaven”
Mt. 16:10

The Church reveals the

farmers and regular farm workers,
who are landless, to own directly or
collectively the lands they till or, in
the case of other farm workers, to
receive a just share of the fruits
thereof.”
63. But to this day,
the full
realization of
land reform in
the Philippines
still remains
unrealized
Land reform in the Philippines had its
beginnings in 1963, when Section 49 of
Republic Act (RA) 3844, or the Agricultural
Land Reform Code, necessitated the
creation of the Land Authority.
