Digital Banking in the Cloud: How Citizens Bank Unlocked Their MainframePrecisely
Inconsistent user experience and siloed data, high costs, and changing customer expectations – Citizens Bank was experiencing these challenges while it was attempting to deliver a superior digital banking experience for its clients. Its core banking applications run on the mainframe and Citizens was using legacy utilities to get the critical mainframe data to feed customer-facing channels, like call centers, web, and mobile. Ultimately, this led to higher operating costs (MIPS), delayed response times, and longer time to market.
Ever-changing customer expectations demand more modern digital experiences, and the bank needed to find a solution that could provide real-time data to its customer channels with low latency and operating costs. Join this session to learn how Citizens is leveraging Precisely to replicate mainframe data to its customer channels and deliver on their “modern digital bank” experiences.

Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity serverAntonios Katsarakis
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).

How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Top 10 netflix
1. Top 10 Netflix

contemplating on the real-time element.
The Netflix Top 10 rundown, which lets you know which shows and motion pictures
are most famous on the stage, is a decent spot to begin to watch something
everybody's discussing. On Friday, Feb. 11, Sweet Magnolias Season 2 and the
Korean zombie series All of Us Are Dead finish the week where they began, in the
No. 1 and negative. 2 spots. Getting Killers climbs to the No. 3 spot, knocking Ozark
down to No. 4 interestingly throughout the week. Strikingly, Despicable Me 2 hasn't
moved since Monday, clutching the No. 7 spot, while the primary Despicable Me sits
at No. 10. Most importantly, individuals super love Millions.
In any case, of the Netflix Top 10, which shows and films merit watching? We purify
the real Netflix Top 10 rundown and lead you through what to cram and what to
bounce. We do likewise for Netflix's Top 10 TV shows, as well as Netflix's Top 10
motion pictures. We likewise have our rundown of a couple of best shows and
motion pictures to watch on Netflix at this moment, as well as the best films to watch
on Netflix and the reasonable TV shows on Netflix.
Top 10 Movies and Shows
1-Catching Killers
For enthusiasts of Catching executioners, child! | Is it great?: Don't anticipate
anything too top to bottom, yet assuming that you like genuine wrongdoing, you'll
presumably partake in this In its subsequent season, this docuseries keeps on
inspecting how three chronic executioners - this time, BTK, the Phoenix Serial
Shooter, and the Toronto Village Killer - were found and gotten. There's not much
here you were unable to find on Wikipedia, but rather at only four 30 brief episodes,
it's the sort of show you can watch at a time.
2-Sweet Magnolias
For devotees of Wholesome TV, ladies being companions | Is it great?: It's charming,
switch your-mind off show
Netflix's Southern dramatization at last returns for its hotly anticipated second period
of fellowship and margaritas. In Season 2, we return to Serenity, South Carolina, to
find Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen
(Heather Headley), who are largely confronting difficulties in their connections,
professions, and family lives, such as managing the aftermath from Maddie's child
Kyle's (Logan Allen) auto crash.
3-All of Us Are Dead
For enthusiasts of Zombies, adolescents | Is it great?: It's extraordinary The shocking
thrill ride about a zombie infection episode at a secondary school follows
2. understudies as they frantically battle against tissue-eating beasts - some of whom
had been their human companions only minutes prior. (The previous position: 2)
4-Ozark
Whenever a middle-class, working-class family engages with the risky medication
cartel, the Breaking Bad and Weeds correlations don't simply show up-they're sent a
hand-lettered greeting. Furthermore, the reason of Netflix's Ozark to be sure sets us
up for one more steeply calculated slide; at this point, we expect we'll observe the
enlivening of a frantic man's dormant insidiousness. Yet, there are a few basic
components affecting everything to keep the medication managing screw-up saying
from feeling like a melody we've heard again and again. This multitude of
components focuses on the overarching morals of Ozark's primary person, Martin
Byrde (Jason Bateman). Here we see Bateman in a sensational turn enigmatically
suggestive of his most notable job, as development Arrested's, Michael Bluth. Martin
is a man who needs truth to be told however will lie when he trusts his lie to be in the
help of everyone's benefit. (For this situation, everyone's benefit is his family's
endurance). Marty, a monetary organizer, begins perfectly positioned with
impeccable timing whenever he coincidentally finds the chance to launder cash for-
as he endearingly demands reminding everybody of the second most impressive
gathering of Mexican medication sprinters. His commitment to "the numbers" and
practical, unemotional genius make him stand apart as a "unique" possibility to the
cartel's alluring (and convincingly alarming) Chicago contact, Del (Esai Morales).
Yet, Ozark is stuck up by light ramifications: that perhaps the ideal individual can go
somewhat terrible, without spoiling as far as possible. Maybe it is this unending
round of fend-off that keeps Marty's hands clean (and his head, until further notice,
unblemished). The story, in some measure up until this point, is one of a man who
battles what he's facing such that he accepts is correct. Ozark takes the wannabe
domain we've seen previously and raises it by making its lead an antagonist rule-
breaker, however a genuinely decent trouble maker one to pull for. - Kate Watson
5-Despicable Me 2'
Upon its appearance in 2010, the primary Despicable Me consolidated Bronze-age
Disney (charming, intelligent youngsters and silly companions) with a portion of over-
the-top sci-fun that owed less to the truth fastened (if dubiously so) superhuman
study of The Incredibles than to the liberated from-material science jokes of Marvin
the Martian, Spy versus Spy and Inspector Gadget. Eventually, Despicable Me made
an appearance more as innocuous, low-calorie energized fun than a moment
exemplary family passage. By all accounts, Despicable Me 2 is business as usual.
Previous curve miscreant Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) has deserted his endeavors
to push the world to the edge of total collapse for an errand significantly really
overwhelming raising the three little kids he obtained in the main film. Concerning his
matured thug, Dr. Nefario (Russell Brand), and horde cronies, Gru has taken a page
from 1987's Baby Boom and turned his innovativeness toward an existence of jams
and sticks. Luckily for the crowd (and any eventual shoppers of the previously
mentioned jam), Gru is before long enlisted by Lucy (Kristin Wiig) for the Anti-Villain
League to find a puzzling new danger. (Consider it an "It takes a curve scalawag to
get a curve lowlife" drive.) Hi-jinks follow, at basically an equivalent degree of
execution as found in the principal film. All things considered, Despicable Me 2 is
3. more enjoyable than its ancestor. To some extent, this might be because the
additional lift given it as a continuation, liberated from minutes-biting beginnings and
presentations, and can begin with the result of God's personality circular segment
from the past film-his affirmation as a thoughtful person through his staggering
adoration for his youngsters. Vile Me 2 proceeds with his recovery from complete
cultural exception to crony pervaded local area apparatus. Amid the interest and
activity, it's a message that underlies and raises the spin-off everybody, regardless of
how unique, should be cherished. It's a basic, sarcasm-free message the two
guardians and youngsters can appreciate. - Michael Burgin
6-Raising Dion
This Netflix superhuman series follows the narrative of a lady named Nicole (Alisha
Wainwright), who raises her cute eight-year-old child Dion (novice Ja'Siah Young)
after the passing of her better half, Mark (Jordan). The typical show of bringing up a
child as a single parent is intensified when Dion begins to show a few secretive,
superhuman-like capacities supernatural power, and instant transportation are only
the beginnings of it. Nicole should now maintain her child's gifts mystery with the
assistance of Mark's closest companion Pat (Jason Ritter) and shield Dion from bad
guys out to take advantage of him while sorting out the introduction of his potential.
Given the comic book by Dennis Liu, Raising Dion is helmed by showrunner Carol
Barbee, and its subsequent season debuted Feb. 1. - Rachita Vasandani.
7-The Woman in The House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window
Year: 2022
We love Kristin Bell, and she's incredible here as usual, yet we wish this dim satire
was somewhat more interesting. The spoof of parched suspenseful thrill rides plays
it too straight out of the door and moves along too leisurely to acquire a lot of energy.
Ringer plays a lamenting mother, inclined to blend liquor in with her antidepressants
after her girl was killed and eaten by "Slaughter Mike," driving her to have
pipedreams. So when she discovers a killing across the highway, nothing corners
her. The class was ready for a send-up, yet this feels like a botched open door.
8-The Tinder Swindler Year 2022
In 2019, Norwegian paper VG published a summary titled "The Tinder Swindler,"
which delivered shockwaves through the all-around community similar to The
Atlantic's "The Truth About Dentistry," or the New York Times "Who is the Bad Art
Friend?" The summary observes a man called Shimon Hayut who expended long
terms of his time on world functioning like Simon Leviev, the beneficiary to a
behemoth Israeli jewel success. He embraced this persona to court ladies on Tinder
and, whenever he has acquired their trust, to fool them into advancing him countless
dollars-cash he would then use to charm his next casualty. Just like the case with the
most famous IP, "The Tinder Swindler" was gotten for variation at lightning speed,
and formed into a narrative by the geniuses behind Netflix's Don't Fuck with Cats,
the profound jump miniseries into the more peculiar than-fiction story of the ascent
and fall of a pornography star-turned-feline torturer-and-perhaps man-eater.
Coordinated by Felicity Morris, The Tinder Swindler isn't unlike Don't Fuck with Cats
in that it is brilliantly high-idea, carrying with it comparable frantic energy and perky
4. coaxing out of turns. More than anything The Tinder Swindler has its finger on the
beat of what watchers need in a genuine wrongdoing narrative. At just shy of two
hours, it doesn't delay longer than it needs to. It is short, smart, and concise. It
likewise easily fits in all that we search for in a doc like this: A retelling of the
wrongdoing and the examination (the last option being, for this situation,
considerably more, fascinating than the previous), non-diverting reenactments, and a
drawing in tone, which Swindler achieves by whipping all over the planet to colorful
areas generally combined with an exuberant soundtrack. - Aurora Amidon
9-In from the Cold
The possibility of Russian sleeper specialists living among us has long caught
America's creative mind. The Americans set the bar high, yet the new Netflix unique
series In from the Cold gives a more current take. Margarita Levieva stars as a
single parent whose past as a worldwide professional killer has found her. Yet again
she should depend on her abilities as The Whisperer, yet this time for the CIA.
10-There Will Be Blood
There's a smell of Citizen Kane regarding There Will Be Blood. Both Charles Foster
Kane, the focal point of Orson Welles' 1941 show stopper, and Daniel Plainview, the
hero of Paul Thomas Anderson's 2007 pearl, are Shakespearean in their logical
inconsistencies excessively inventive and too injured to even consider being
completely censured, too heartless to even think about being completely
appreciated. Like Welles, essayist/chief Anderson designed a unique realistic
language to uncover Plainview's weird blend of virtuoso and monster. Extended
lengths are basically exchange-free, accentuated by close-ups of Daniel Day-Lewis'
scowling face-splattered with blood, sweat, and oil and the remote chances of
unsteady derricks and shacks roosted dubiously on a savage scene say more than
words at any point could. - Geoffrey Himes

12-The Hand of God
Paolo Sorrentino bookends his new transitioning creation, The Hand of God, with the
divine portrayal, and spends each second in the middle grousing over life's perpetual
5. motorcade of frustration. Humankind is ghastly. Everything is a disappointment. The
truth is inferior. "What a crappy world this is," one lady thinks around 45 minutes into
the film. "You go purchase dessert and when you get back, your better half's in
prison." The subtleties are superfluous. It's the feeling that terrains. The exchange
peruses like Sorrentino soliloquizing through his characters, broadcasting many
complaints about the establishing impact of The Hand of God's story on its plot: Set
in 1980s Naples, taking care of the rich, exhausting routine involving the comings
and going of the very close family Schisa-father Saverio (Toni Servillo) and mother
Maria (Teresa Saponangelo), and their children, oldest Marchino (Marlon Joubert)
and most youthful Fabietto (Filippo Scotti)- Sorrentino builds the film with less
surrealist prospers than in his modern works, a la 2018's Loro, 2015's Youth and
2013's The Great Beauty, where a man causes a giraffe to vanish like a phantom in
a Roman colosseum. Put close to these photos, The Hand of God is tremendously
typical. Business as usual may not fulfill Sorrentino's characters, regardless of
whether guideline or supporting, yet The Hand of God tracks down overflow in
ordinary Italian shows: Abundance of importance, a wealth of excellence, an
overflow of parody, and to try not to cover the lede, The Hand of God is reliably
clever for the primary hour or thereabouts (an initial scene of aggressive behavior at
home in any case). The Hand of God isn't idealism, going against Fabietto's late-
stage vocation objectives. It is an engaging hoot and an impactful show that
progresses into an activity in a loss in its last part, where Fabietto removes his brain
from a world-breaking misfortune by fanboying out over Capuano and crossing paths
with Armando (Biagio Manna), Sorrentino's clear-cut advantage: A gregarious
cigarette runner whose wild streak gives a false representation of withstanding
unwaveringness to whomever he calls "companion." It's difficult to keep up. The
Hand of God doesn't attempt to. All things being equal, directed by Fabietto, the film
takes as much time as necessary. It watches. It relaxes. It catches existence with
clearness even Sorrentino's earnest attempts haven't exactly which puts forth it his
best attempt to date.- Andy Crump
