FLY programs are focused on the five pillars to develop a competitiveness mindset
● Conscientiousness
● Perseverance
● Innovativeness
● Taking Initiative
● Problem Solving
The Pillar that we want to focus is INNOVATIVENESS
3. Innovativeness
● In other words is being CREATIVE
● To modify the existing the norms
● Put forward concepts to make it more
interesting and easy to understand
● Various ways to achieve innovativeness
● Our focus topics : Breaking Assumptive
barriers & SCAMPLER technique
6. Our brains are wired to make assumptions, which can sometimes
be off base. We think it's an honest mistake; science calls it a blind
spot.

7. Agro-tech Startups
As-is: Responsible for 17-18% of India’s GDP but
employes 50% of the country’s population
Issues: Farmers don’t own land nor can afford
advanced techniques
Solutions: Leverage technology for sustainable
techniques (450+ agro tech startups)

Pollution to ink
What if we could capture pollution in the air around
us and turn into something useful? Inventor Anirudh
Sharma shares how he created AIR-INK, a useable
black ink that's made from PM 2.5 pollution. Learn
how new carbon-based materials could disrupt age-
old processes in industries like fashion, printing and
packing -- and make the world just a bit cleaner in
the process.
Vertical Vegetable Gardening

is no need to water it often
Farmers in the Netherlands
A pioneering Dutch farm has found clever ways to
generate higher yields using less space and fewer
inputs. They’re growing food that’s more
sustainable and economical too. Despite being a
small, densely populated country, the Netherlands
is one of the world’s biggest vegetable exporters.
Metro Rail
Delhi metro is on its’ next wave of
technological innovation where the role of
a driver will be minimised. The trains will
receive a ‘wake-up’ call from the
operational centre, lights will switch on,
engine ignited and self-check. Besides,
metro as a concept saves space as well
as offers better travel

11. IOT Revolution in Israel
● Combining IOT to industry sectors like energy,
mobility, power, health care and life sciences.
● Auto-Tel, a car sharing platform run by IoT, these
cars are connected to the internet, you can find
available cars on your phone, and unlock them
using your phone.
● Prisma Photonics makes physical infrastructure like
roads, power and water lines smart using laser and
sensors.
● Quickway makes clothing smart with an IoT tag.
12. Ice Stupas of Ladakh
● In the Ladakh region of northwestern India's
Himalayas, with glaciers melting and retreating
because of climate change, the impending
drought threatens to destroy their livelihoods.
● To solve the problem, engineer Sonam Wangchuk
creates artificial ice stupas, which melt when
water is urgently needed for farming.
● Essentially, Adapting, Putting to another use,
and Low hanging fruit techniques actually help
to solve a problem and spread a message to
people in big cities regarding climate change.
