Assemblyman Tony Jordan Garners Key Endorsements
Fort Edward – Assemblyman Tony Jordan (R,C,I Jackson) today received the endorsement of
Unshackle Upstate. Brian Sampson, Executive Director of Unshackle Upstate said, “Tony Jordan
is not your typical member of the Assembly -- he is a small-businessman and a family man.
When he looks at legislation before him he does so understanding the difficulties of doing
business in New York State with its high taxes and overregulation. Assemblyman Jordan has
publicly opposed many measures that would adversely impact New York’s important
agricultural sector.”
Assemblyman Jordan has also received the endorsement of the National Federation of
Independent Business. NFIB/New York State Director Mike Elmendorf said “Tony Jordan has
been a staunch defender of small business in the Legislature. He has stood with small business
on key issues this session. Tony Jordan is the right choice for small business, and we look
forward to continuing to work with the Assemblyman to reduce New York’s sky-high cost of
doing business and improve our economy.”
The Business Council of New York State also ranked Assemblyman Jordan as the top “pro jobs”
voter in the Assembly. “I would like to thank Unshackle Upstate, NFIB, and the Business
Council of NYS for their recognition and support,” said Jordan. “New York’s recovery will
depend on the success of our local businesses. The goal in Albany should be to do everything we
