Unshackle Upstate is asking for donations to continue their advocacy efforts which have resulted in pro-business victories like on-time budgets without new taxes, a property tax cap, and mandate relief. Their influence in the state legislature has grown and helped elect candidates supportive of improving the economy. However, special interests will be campaigning this election season to increase taxes and spending again, so donations are needed to ensure New York continues moving in a pro-business direction.

After a successful 2010 election cycle in which Unshackle Upstate endorsed its first slate of candidates and
spoke out in favor of improving the state’s economy, our lawmakers have finally started addressing the needs of
the state’s businesses, taxpayers and job creators.
Thanks to your support, Unshackle Upstate has emerged as the leading voice for the taxpayers and job creators
across our region and in the halls of the Capitol in Albany. Our influence continues to grow in every region of the
state. Additionally, we have developed strategic alliances with like-minded groups, which has further expanded
our influence in Albany.
