Selected Present/ Recent Assignments
 Writing contractor for Ministry of Public Administration (MPA) and facilitator for Public Service
Academy (PSA) Workshops on Speechwriting, Managing by Communications and Strategic
Communications.
 Designed, facilitated and coordinated a comprehensive training programme for television producers
on all aspects of production including new media.
 While at Boston University as a Hubert Humphrey Fellow, became interested in convergence and
introduced the concept to GISL, Trinidad and Tobago.
 Consultant for the National Petroleum Marketing Company (NP) including teaching/training
managers and Directors to improve the corporation’s communications and advising with the
company’s media, advertising and public communications.
 Consultant, Project Manager and Acting CEO of the Government Information Services Ltd. (GISL)
Manageda US$7million multi-media project (Integrated Communications OutreachNetworkor ICON)
which linked together digital outdoor and indoor screens,television including Cable, radio, print and
social media.
 Crisis Communications consultant for several local and regional organisations.
 PAHO Consultant, Public Education programme on Vector Control, Antigua and Barbuda. Held
workshops in communication and multi-media production for staff in 16 Caribbean countries.
 UNESCO Climate Change Education project in Guyana (as a member of the UWI Mona Consulting
Team). Developed multi-media approaches to Technical Education for Climate Change.
 Conducting speechwriting, production and Media Management workshops for Atlantic (LNG), and
other organisations in Trinidad and Tobago.
 GEF IWCAM Contractor for print Media Materials on Waste-Water issues.
 Resource/Rapporteur for PAHO Emergency Dengue Workshop for Caribbean Vector Control
Managersand PAHOconsultant for pre-cholera activities in Turks and Caicos Islands. Focus on multi-
media messages and training of trainers.
 Designed, constructed and managing a “Know Your Status” web resource for PAHO HIV Caribbean
Office (PHCO) and redesigned the UNEP/CAR website.
 Produced several documentaries; designed and hosted “live” television current-affairs programmes.
 Teaching assistant in communications at Carleton University, Ottawa, and Communications Tutor,
University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
September 1, 2006 – July 28, 2008:
Corporate Secretary of the West Indies Cricket Board:
The post carried responsibility for all the functions of Corporate Secretary, Corporate Services, Human
Resources, Industrial Relations and Corporate Communications. Developed multi-media public service
communications in conjunction with professional freelancers.

August 2003 – August 2006:
Public Education and Outreach Specialist for the World Bank/CARICOM 12-country
Mainstreaming Adaptation to Climate Change (MACC) Project basedin Belize but covering
the English-speaking Caribbean.
Responsible for all marketing and communications-related activities, community vulnerability, Knowledge,
Attitude and Practice/Behaviour (KAPB) surveys, website and clearing house management, training and
workshop facilitation, multi-media materials development, lectures to various audiences throughout the
region. as well as design of communications and social marketing components of all programmes/modules.
Conceived and produced a Handbook on Climate Change for Caribbean Journalists (in collaboration with
the Association of Caribbean Media Workers) and pilot Community-based interventions.
December 1, 1994 – September 30, 1998:
Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Media/Communications Advisor for the
Caribbean in the Department of Health Promotion and Protection. Responsibilities included
social marketing, working with Community Projects (Vector Control) in 15 countries, administering
Caribbean MediaAwards for Excellence inHealth Journalism in 13 countries; Seminars in 15 countries
on Mastering Communication and the Mass Media Environment; Internal and External
Communications, including media liaison. Produced print, video and radio materials.
August 21, 1991 to June 30, 1992:
Hubert Humphrey (Fulbright) Fellow, Boston University, in Planning and Resource
Management. Courses included Global Marketing, International Communications, International Public
Relations, Organizational Consulting, Organization Structure and Development, Tourism Management.
Also worked closely with the University’s multi-media department.
World Bank Short-term Consultant on the use of communications technologies and community
participation in World Bank Projects.
