 Initiated and orchestrated Hampton’s University’s first-ever attendance at a 2013 national environmental
conference (Power Shift) held in Pittsburgh, PA and hosted by groups such as Greenpeace and Sierra Club.
• Secured funding from the Science Department’s Seeds Ecology Club. Recruited 16 students and
oversaw travel logistics (transportation/lodging/food), sourcing low-cost, in-budget solutions.
• Recruited as State Lead of VA, Coastal Region, to promote conference attendance across five schools.
 Served as Lead Coordinator for all facets of four events, delegating activities for up to 20 student volunteers.
