This document is a letter written by Hassan Al-Banna, the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, to the king and prime minister of Egypt in 1947.
Al-Banna argues that Egypt is at a crossroads and must choose between following Western ideals or returning to Islamic principles. He believes Islam provides the best path forward by strengthening Arab and Islamic unity and solving problems through comprehensive Islamic teachings.
Al-Banna also asserts that only Islam can fully provide what is needed to develop the nation with strong institutions, objectives, and justice according to Islamic rules and civilization. Islam instills hope, national greatness, and sacrifice for the homeland above all else.
