Les prof de sante, du fait de leur expertise, peuvent jouer un grand role dans l’arret du tabagisme au quotidien sur leur lieu de travail ou ils sont en contact permanent avec 80% de la population. On nomme professionnels de sante, toutes les personnes dans le domaine de la sante qui sont de 1 er recours cad en contact direct avec le patients…citons les medecins, les infirmiers, les sages-femmes, les dentistes, les pharmaciens, les etudiants… Le professionnel de sante sert de modele pour son patient dans 47,5% des cas. Et s’il est fumeur, en plus de perdre sa credibilite, il s’engage moins a promouvoir le sevrage. Donc un prof de sante non fumeur augmnete la motivation de son patient a l;arret Charite bien ordonnee commence par soi-meme 68,8% US smokers, 3/5 dental students smokers in Lebanon want to quit (80% of the population):
  7. le nombre de fumeurs parmi les prof de sante est tres variable selon les pays. Alors qu’aux USA, la prevalence chez les PS est < a celle de la population generale, au Liban, il semble qu’elle soit la meme ou plus, selon une enquete aupres des etudiants de 3 eme annee en medecine dentaire. Ce sont les seules donnees retrouvees.

Il doit ainsi s’y ’impliquer activement, impliquant tous les acteurs internes depuis la direction. La sévérité des troubles est basée sur le nombre de critères rencontrés: 2-3 critères indiquent un trouble léger; 4-5 critères, un trouble modéré, et 6 ou plus, un trouble sévère. La rémission récente d’un trouble est définie comme consistant en au moins 3 mois (et moins que 12) sans que des critères du trouble soient applicables (sauf celui de l’envie de consommer) alors que la rémission durable consiste en au moins 12 mois sans critères applicables (sauf l’envie ou craving).
