This document summarizes concepts related to international political economy such as economic nationalism, mercantilism, protectionism, and globalization. It discusses how economic nationalism and globalization oppose each other, with economic nationalism promoting domestic markets and protectionism through trade barriers while globalization advocates for open markets and free trade. The document also notes how in the current era of globalization, the concept of economic nationalism seems to be fading. It provides differences between globalization and economic nationalism in terms of their approaches to trade, markets, cooperation and views on development of less developed countries.
Rizal wrote several poems as a young man that demonstrated his early nationalism and patriotism for the Philippines. Some of the notable poems mentioned include "Sa Aking Mga Kababata" which he wrote at age 8 with his mother's guidance, "The Embarkation: Hymn to Magellan's Fleet" from 1875, and "To the Philippine Youth" from 1879 where he encouraged the youth of the Philippines. Many of Rizal's poems were written to highlight Philippine history and culture or promote education as important to developing the nation.
Rizal requested the Filipino youth to:
1. Lift up their radiant brows and show their abundant talents resplendently and grandly.
2. Soar high with great genius and fill their virgin minds with noble thoughts to find honor's glorious seat more rapidly than the wind.
3. Descend with the arts and sciences to the plain and break forthright the chains of their poetic genius.
This document is a presentation summarizing Jose Rizal's last poem "Mi Ultimo Adios". The presentation discusses that [1] Rizal did not title the poem himself, [2] it was written on the eve of his execution on December 30, 1896 in Fort Santiago, and [3] it was intended as a final statement to his fellow Filipino countrymen. The presentation analyzes the themes and messages in the poem, such as Rizal bidding farewell to his native land and saying that he willingly gives his life for his country's cause.
The document is a poem written in Tagalog by Jose Rizal when he was eight years old expressing his love for the Tagalog language. The poem states that those who truly love their people will love the language given to them by heaven and will yearn for freedom like a bird in the sky. It says that one can judge a town or kingdom by its language, and like all things, people love their freedom. The poem calls those who do not love their native tongue worse than rotten fish or beasts. It describes the Tagalog language as being akin to Latin, English, Spanish and more, and that God bestowed this language upon the people. The poem was originally much longer but parts were lost when a boat sank
The poem discusses two poems written by Harold Eugene Q. Urmaza. The first poem from 1879 addresses Filipino youth, encouraging them to have confidence and improve their nation. The second poem from 1882 discusses the difficulty of writing poetry upon request in Madrid while longing for his homeland.
Rizal wrote several poems that expressed his nationalist ideals and love for the Philippines. Some of his most prominent poems discussed are "Sa Aking Mga Kababata" where he advocated for preserving the native language; "Education Gives Luster to the Motherland" and "To the Filipino Youth" where he encouraged education as a way to develop the country; and "My Retreat" where he beautifully described his life in exile in Dapitan. Overall, Rizal's poetry reflected his deep patriotism and hope for the Philippines' future progress.

Aralin 9_Pagtangkilik sa Sariling Produkto para sa Pag-unlad at Pagsulong ng ...
To the philippine youth
1.
2. Taas nuong ipagmalaki mo
Kabataan kung saan ka
nakatayo
Hayaan mong kuminang ang
liwanag at ang
kagandahan mo’y makita
Ang pag-asa ng ating
inang bayan
3. Maging inspirasyon ang mga
kabataan sa bawat isa
Sa abot ng ating makakaya upang
maipamalas ang kanilang kaisipan
Madami mang hadlang matuto
tayong tumayo at lumaban sa
abot ating talino
Itaguyod at ipagmalaki natin, maliit
man na bansa tayo ay kaya natin
4.
5. Sa buhay ay puno ng pangarap at
maaring
ang pangarap na ito ay nagmumula sa
atin
Sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng
sariling wika
Ating tangkilikin
6. Pinapakita ang paghihirap ng mga
kabataang Pilipino na sa kabila
Ng dusa at lungkot ay hindi
Pa rin bumibitiw sa kahit na
Anong pagsubok pa ang
dumating sa buhay
7. Na syang nakagawa ng
kagandahan at
Kabutihan sa kapwa ay sya
mismong
Magagawaran ng pang
habang-buhay
Na pagkakakilanlan
8. Pahalagahan ang wikang sariling atin
Ipakilala saan mang panig ng mundo ang
likas na taglay ng ating bansa
May iba’t ibang wika sa Pilipinas at
dapat natin itong ituring na kayamanan
Nasaang panig man tayo ng mundo wag
nating kakalimutan ang wikang
pamana sa atin
9. Makilala tayong mga Pilipino sa
ating angking galling sa anumang
larangan
Saan man tayo mapadpad dala natin
ang dugong Pilipino
At sa bawat tagumpay laging iisipin
dapatlamang malaman ng mundo
Ang pagigigngPilipino ang
magpapatunay na angat tayo
10. Araw, O isang masayang araw
Magandang pilipinas na aking
bayan
Basbasan mo ang lakas ngayon
Sa mga lugar na iyong
daraanan
Sa tulong at marangyang
kapalaran
