1. A curriculum framework is a set of rules or standards or learning outcomes that states
the expectations from students in form of content to be learned. It gives a standard for
what they should know and be able to do after completing a course. It is a part of
standards based reform design or outcome based education.
The TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education) Framework is a set of guidelines
designed to help teachers in teaching students about technology and livelihood. It
consists of three domains: the Technology domain, the Livelihood Education domain,
and the Home Economics domain
TLE by its nature is dominantly a skill subject; hence the teacher must engage students
in an experiential, contextualized, and authentic teaching-learning process. It is a
subject in whichstudentslearn best by doing

T.L.E is a subject that focuses around home life and general living, and the four
components of the subject include home economics, agricultural arts entrepreneurship

Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) is one of the learning areas of the
Secondary Education Curriculum used in Philippine secondary schools. As a subject in
high school, its component areas are: Home Economics, Agri-Fishery Arts,
Industrial Arts, and Information and Communication Technology.
The development of the basic skills in the four areas of TLE, namely: (1) Home
Economics, (2) Agriculture, (3) Industrial Arts and (4) Entrepreneurship, should be
the main concern along with the formation of desirable work values and attitudes.
In line with the school's vision and mission, the TLE Department aims to develop
critical thinking, self-reliance, independence, culture sensitivity and entrepreneurship in
the students by enhancing their skills on the different uses of technology and application
of life skills.
2. They were taught five (5) basic competencies common to all TLE courses. These
are; use of materials, tools and equipment, carry out measurements and calculations,
read and interpret product design, perform basic maintenance and practice occupational
health and safety.
It covers three domains: Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies, Market and
Environment, and Process and Delivery. The five common competencies from
TESDA are integrated in the Process and Delivery domain. TLE teaches students how
