PROFILE As a lifelong resident of Nashville Davidson County, Pam spent many years in private
business and civic leadership. She has owned businesses in various retail and service
industries, while serving on boards representing business, arts, preservation, education
and civic initiatives. Pam moved to Sumner County several years ago where she has
free-lanced on various projects while re-evaluating her passion for service and
determining how she will focus that passion moving forward.
RECENT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
EXPERIENCE Nashville Alliance for Public Education, Nashville, TN 2007-2011
Led the development and evolution of this organization from infancy to mature
fulfillment of its mission. Responsibilities included building a business infrastructure,
staff, and systems of accountability to support essential functions, fund development
and resource management. Managed relationships with the Board of Directors,
Advisors, Metro Nashville Public Schools, donors and community-at-large. Received
the E. Bronson Ingram Award and the TEA Friend of Education Award.
BOARD MEMBER AND CHAIRMAN
Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools 2000-2007
Served on the Board of Public Education for Metro Public Schools for seven years,
three years as Chair. Work included implementation of district-wide reform, policy
governance, established coalition of Tennessee’s largest school districts,
superintendents and community leaders, legislative networking. Set directions for
initiatives, managed media relations and key relationships.
