2. The Homecoming Dance is September 25th. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches Sept. 15th through Sept. 21. Tickets will be $15.00 each. If you would like to bring a guest, you must pick up a non-THS guest form outside of Mrs. Pace’s room, L226. The form must be completed and returned when you buy your tickets.

4. Order your 2011 Stripes Yearbook Now! Order online through www.smart-pay.com . Credit cards, money orders, personal checks ok. $77 for the book, optional items extra. Order Now! At the end of the year, if we have any extras they will be $90.

5. If you are interested in joining the Travis High School Gaming Club, please see Mr. Chambers in room L231 or Mr. Watson in J222. You can also attend a meeting. The club meets on Tuesdays after school in J222 from 2:40 to 4:00 and Thursdays in L231 from 2:40 to 4:30. The THS Gaming Club plays all sorts of video games (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) and board games. There are limited spaces, so join ASAP!

7. Do you enjoy math? Check out Mu Alpha Theta , the math honor society at THS. We attend math competitions, tutor other students, and even hosted the volleyball tournament last year. We will be having an interest meeting Tues., September 14th, at 6:50 am in Mrs. Johnston's room, room C114.

8. Attention all Girls interested in trying out for soccer: There will be a short information meeting Wednesday Sept 15th 7:00 am OR 2:30 pm in room L235 with Coach Fox.

9. The PSAT will be administered during school on October 13th to all 10th grade students and those 9th, 11th and 12th grade students who choose to sign up for the test.

10. 11th graders are highly encouraged to sign up. If you are a 10th grader, you are automatically signed up to take the PSAT and will not be required to pay for the test.

11. If you are not a 10th grader and wish to take the PSAT, you will need to sign up for the test during lunch between Monday, September 13th and Friday, September 17th. The cost is $20.

12. Late Registration will be available on Monday, September 20th, which is the last day that you may registrar. The cost at that time will be $30. Please see a counselor during lunch if you have any questions or concerns regarding the PSAT.

13. Interested in joining DECA, the international organization for students of Business and Marketing? The first DECA meeting will be held on September 15, 2010 in room K206 at 2:45 p.m. Join us for the start of a fun and exciting year.
