The document proposes a wearable device to help knowledge workers more easily connect with colleagues who have relevant expertise. The device would scan the work environment to locate colleagues and display their profiles. This would help users get acquainted on their first day, find experts to assist with projects, and record daily interactions for future reference. Next steps include additional research, ideation, and exploring technologies to realize the concept.
ABSTRACT
The study of the Roman economy is populated by a large number ofsometimes conflicting descriptive models. These models are rarelyformally compared, and many remain untested due to the limited use offormal hypothesis testing methods in Roman studies and the significantdata requirements to enable their use. This paper illustrates how broadpatterns in large archaeological datasets allow for aspects of thesemodels to be tested, and suggests agent-based network modelling as aparticularly fruitful approach for the study of the Roman economy.
As an example, this paper presents the Market Economy and Roman CeramicsRedistribution agent-based network model (MERCURY, after the Roman godof commerce). It represents the structure of social networks betweentraders that act as the channels for the flow of commercial informationand goods. MERCURY was created to formally represent and compare twodescriptive models of the functioning of the Roman trade system (PeterBang's Roman bazaar (2008) and Peter Temin's (2013) Roman marketeconomy) and how these give rise to differences in the distributionpatterns of Roman tablewares. The results of experiments using MERCURYare subsequently compared to archaeologically observed tablewaredistribution patterns. The results suggest that, contrary to Bang'shypothesis, limited availability of reliable commercial information fromdifferent markets is unlikely to give rise to the large differences inthe wideness of tableware distributions observed in the archaeologicalrecord. This paper concludes that the study of the Roman economy wouldvery much benefit from embracing computational modelling approachesbecause (i) it forces scholars to consider the comparability ofdescriptive models, (ii) it allows comparison of simulated outputs witharchaeologically observed outputs, and (iii) it allows to map out thegrey zone between extreme hypotheses and refocus our descriptive modelsaway from hypotheses that do not compare favourably with thearchaeological record.

The US Cookware and Bakeware Market Snapshot 2013 includes market size and growth trends and annual purchase incidence. The report is published by A.J. Riedel, Sr. Partner of Riedel Marketing Group, and is based on proprietary online consumer research and data from the Cookware Manufacturers Association.
The homewares market saw a flat performance over the last five years, as the strong Asian growth was not enough to push sales at a global level. The financial crisis took its toll in Europe (both Western and Eastern countries) and in North America. Largely accessible, both in terms of price points and distribution, homewares is a category of necessity where developments are mainly influenced by social change.
It is a presentation which i created for a client based out of India. They were pitching a german investor to set a ceramic tableware plant in India. The client is already a leading player in the Indian market.
I request everyone to please view it and share your comments and if you need any such presentation, please let me know, i can definitely assist you

Technology has impacted almost every aspect of our lives. The way we communicate and collaborate has been greatly enhanced with new technology. I do not think I would be able to manage all of my professional and personal activities without the use of technology. Technology enables me to easily communicate with others, collaborate on projects, and exchange information. In the past, I had to be in the office in order to attend meetings, participate in projects, or attend training. With technology such as video conferences, online meetings, and instant messaging, I can work from home or remotely. I no longer need to be in the office in order to complete my work. For example, I had a dentist appointment today and while I was waiting for my appointment, I was able to read emails on my phone.
There are so many ways in which technology has enhanced my professional and personal lives. Here are a few examples of technology that I use in my workplace and at home:
Communication: In the past, whenever I needed to get a document to someone, we had to use interoffice mail or regular snail mail. Today, we can send an email and the person receives it instantly instead of in a few days. I use email, instant messaging, online and virtual meetings to communicate. In my personal life, I use FaceTime to communicate with my family and friends. This allows me to stay connected with them even when we are not in the same location
Collaboration: We use Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint) to collaborate on documents. With Microsoft Word, we can make comments and updates within one document and store it in one central location. In the past, we would have to use multiple versions and then try to create one final document.
Meetings: At work, I can use video conferencing and online meetings allow me to convene meetings with anyone in any location.
Storage: At work, we no longer have to store our documents in a filing cabinet or off-site. We used network drives where documentation is easily accessible to everyone on our team. In my personal life, I use Google Drive to store and share documents with family and friends.
All of these types of technology have helped facilitate the flow of information in order to help me and my team communicate better, process data, and make decisions (Bélanger, Van Slyke, and Crossler, 201 ...

POST1
Information and information technology are present in every aspect of an individual’s life. From a professional standpoint, I have experienced an evolution in the way my office has operated over the past 15 years. When I first started there, all applications were mailed hard-copy from our office in Northern California to a processing center in Southern California. The applications were completed by hand, mailed, then typed by the processing center and mailed back for us to review and mail out to policyholders. It was a cumbersome process and a single application could take nearly two weeks to turn around for a customer. As the years passed, the process of handwriting the applications changed to computer applications that were printed and mailed. Now the mailing has also been replaced with electronic submission. The turnaround now takes about two days instead of two weeks. The evolution of technology has provided us with more efficiency. This efficiency is not only in the form of time, but in accuracy as well. It is much easier for a processing center to read type written language than handwritten. We find fewer errors on the paperwork coming back to us and when there is an error the correction is quick and easy. Outside the office our professional lives are impacted as well. The introduction of apps on smart phones allows clients to make changes themselves or complete their own applications. They can assist our claims partners with getting documents sent in faster. Overall, this technology has helped our younger generation remain satisfied with our service as they tend to demand quick and convenient access in all areas of their own lives.
My personal life is impacted as well, though, I will say that it is not all positive. As technology enters our lives and we become accustomed to being connected to everyone at all times I feel I need reminding at times to put my phone down or step away from a computer to enjoy the people who are physically in my presence. While I enjoy the convenience of being able to pay for things using apps on my phone and I enjoy that I can more easily keep connected with friends who no longer live in my direct area through ap ...

Making sense of your digital workplaceIntranätverk
One of the challenges of a modern intranet is that the boundaries are becoming blurred by the growth of social and collaboration tools, mobile access and cloud applications. In this evolving landscape, intranets remain highly important, but the roadmap needs to plan for the digital workplace as a whole. Based on hands-on experience of developing strategy, Sam Marshall will show how approaching this from an employee perspective can bring clarity and purpose, but also how the emphasis needs to be as much on management as on technology.
- What is the opportunity for the digital workplace?
- Why you can’t plan an intranet in isolation
- What are the things that matter most to your employees?
- What changes in management and mindset are needed?

Social software lets employees connect and share in new ways, and can dramatically improve the effectiveness of your organization. But social technologies like microblogging, social networking, automated activity feeds, social spreadsheets, wikis, etc. are new to most organizations, and most IT departments don’t have experience with how to successfully implement them.
Success with social software involves a lot more than simply finding the product that best fits your needs. It involves framing the problem appropriately in the first place, defining your business goals, and choosing a rollout methodology designed to meet those goals. It involves selling your CFO, changing behavior across your organization, and more.
This paper is designed to help you learn from the mistakes of others before you, so you can avoid the common pitfalls of social software, and get fast business value.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.

Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.

Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.

2. Key Question? How can knowledge be leveraged across organizations in all its granularity?
3. The Need Knowledge is stored in databases and archives! Users face a steep learning curve with each new archive. Don’t make me search through archives! I just need to ask someone. I just don’t know who! Knowledge in all its granularity resides within the minds of the employees. Corporate environment does not facilitate conversation, rather enforces technologies which create a social divide.
4. The Concept Wearable device that scans the work environment to locate relevant colleagues. Led indicator lights up to alert the user when it locates relevant domain experts LCD screen displays useful information about the colleague

6. Scenario 1 Getting to know others: Getting to know people within an organization is hard. It is important to know others to make friends, understand your peers and often to get familiarized with clients. My project would allow users to view relevant broadcasted information from the devices of colleagues and clients. John comes to office. Its his first day. He doesn’t know anyone. As he turns on his device, it captures relevant data about his colleagues within the office space. John now views the data on the LCD screen and starts a conversation John uses the device to select colleagues that he would like connect with. The device broadcast approved information about John to selected colleagues.
7. Scenario 2 Finding help for Work in Progress: Colleagues across the organization might be working on projects similar to what the user is working on. Sharing knowledge and experience across such projects can be beneficial for all. John comes to office. He needs to start preparing an audit report. He turns on his device to search mode to locate colleagues who are currently working or have worked on similar topics. John now selects the colleague with the best match and starts a conversation The device locates a number of colleagues who might be able to able to help and displays on the LCD screen. John needs some help to get started on the report. He is looking for best practice examples. ?
8. Scenario 3 Recording Interactions: The device would capture the interactions with colleagues that the user might have in a day. The user can then later view the list of contact details and matching domains. John comes to office. He reaches workstation and switches on the PC/laptop He turns on his device and sets it to capture mode. Reaches out to colleagues and exchanges typical morning greetings He then reaches out to the team and understands the overall plan of the day During the day he connects on conference calls and attends meetings with the partner to appraise them of the progress At the end of the day, John downloads the collected data from the device to his laptop. He reviews the various interactions he had within the day and plans for tomorrow.
