Faced with the growing evidence that nature-based solutions (NbS) tend to meet the majority of 17 sustainable development goals (SDG), as well as the synergy between their total 169 targets (UN, 2030 AGENDA); suggestions will be made below to increase the attractiveness and branding competitiveness for tourist destinations related to: health, medical, wellness, SPA, resort, thermal, hot spring, natural.
The correlations of nature and tourism with health are usually positive (due to direct beneficial assistance or prevention of harm), but sometimes negative (environmental imbalances and human actions). Some current geographic approaches: cultural ecosystem (environmental) services, WellVillage, SPA town, healthy city, urban green/blue space (UGBS), natural outdoor environment (NOE) and health and well-being – PHENOTYPE project, biophilia architecture.
Since prehistoric times, beneficial effects on human health have been recognized through nature, as well as people's movements in search of places with such special characteristics. Named healing/sacred places, they gave rise to pilgrimages and the first forms of tourist organizations. In recent surveys on visitors' preferences for wellness and health destinations, attractiveness related to nature, environment and potentially therapeutic resources is at the top of the list compared to other items considered (Finland, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Poland). For the current Health Tourism Destination Index (Lee & Li, 2019) with 3 dimensions and 11 sub-dimensions, the natural environment dimension and sub-dimensions climate, air, water, and light; are highlights.
(IUCN, 2016) Resolution 64 - Strengthening cross-sector partnerships to recognise the contributions of nature to health, well-being and quality of life (Nature is good medicine). (NCCAM-NIH, 2012) List of Total 259 therapies included as complementary alternative medicine - CAM, observed 50% direct nature related and 70% possible nature related (+indirect). In addition to the various traditional medicines, naturopathy, natural medicines and nature-based interventions direct nature related observed.
Thus, increasing knowledge about occurrences of NTF - local natural therapeutic factors and their potentially bioactive properties - BAC (preventive, restorative or medicinal), become strategic in planning, development and sustainability of activities in these segments; whether public or private (Lazzerini, 2019; Ziemska et al., 2019). Main characteristics to be evaluated: physical, chemical, biological, toxicological, pharmacological, nutritional, traditional knowledge, sensory, thermodynamic, nanomolecular, ecogeophysical, energetic, vibrational, …
Through an online literature review for “natural therapeutic factor” and similar terms (135 articles related to health tourism were selected) and systematization based on the Natural kind classification philosophy (Cleland et al., 2020) the NTF are described in 4 types of greater scope (environments, phenomena,

Integrating Environmental Accounting in Agro-Allied and Manufacturing Industr...IJMER
‘ONLY WHEN THE LAST TREE IS CUT, ONLY WHEN THE LAST RIVER IS
POLLUTED, ONLY WHEN THE LAST FISH IS CAUGHT, ONLY THEN WILL THEY REALIZE
THAT YOU CANNOT EAT MONEY’ American proverb
Due to growing awareness and concern on the impact of human activity on the ecosystem, there is an
increasing trend to judge organizations in relation to the community in which it operates. The
impact of the activities on the environment with regard to pollution of water, air, land and abuse of
natural resources are coming under scrutiny of governments, stakeholders and citizens. Education is
considered the key to effective development strategies and TVET institutions then must be the master
key that can alleviate poverty, promote peace, conserve the environment, improve the quality of life
for all and help achieve sustainable development. Unless proper accounting work is done, it cannot
be determined that both have been fulfilling their responsibilities. The aim of the study was to explore
whether distinctive processes of environmental accounting are possible in agro-allied and
manufacturing industries with a view to enhancing sustainability. To accomplish this aim, this
research explores environmental accountability practices in TVET institutions. This paper is in part
of an exploratory research project and it is limited in that it attempts to be illuminative and
theoretically driven. The paper aims to prove that environmental reporting and disclosure will
enable in agro-allied and manufacturing industries undertake a major transformation that includes
approaches that harmonize economic prosperity, environmental conservation and social well-being.
However, while strategies for achieving this goal are not widespread, a range of international
experiences is beginning to suggest ways forward. These initiatives include national TVET policy
reforms, green campus, green curriculum, green community, green research and green culture. The
paper includes suggested templates that can be useful in agro-allied and manufacturing industries

In July 2014, experts from public, private and research sectors met at the Rockefeller Foundation's "Planetary Health" summit to explore ways to better value ecosystems today to ensure their healthy existence tomorrow.
When tourism getting momentum globally, a concern irks locally is – is tourism really benefitting the common people in destinations? When ordinary people are forced to jeopardize their convenience for the pleasures of travelers and tour operators, a lion part of the income generated from tourism goes to minority business players. Even though these natural attractions are to be equally enjoyed by all, this paradox remain prevails. Here the novel concept Responsible Tourism (RT) tries to answer many of our apprehensions. This paper reiterates that RT initiative – a strategy to accomplish economic, social and environmental objectives simultaneously shall be the approach for destination management. The Sustainable Tourism Products (STP) and Community Based Tourism (CBT) products emerge as a new strategy for destination marketing, and this Cause Related Marketing (CRM) totally in line with pro-poor, inclusive, and sustainable development concepts creates a win-win situation among community, tourists and industry.

Collaborative delivery of green infrastructure and water management solutions (e.g. SuDS) in the urban environment can realise multiple benefits including reduced flood risk, improved water quality and biodiversity, greater amenity and enhanced community health and well-being. In March 2016, the CaBA Urban Working Group, in collaboration with the Defra Urban Ecosystem Services Project (www.urbanwater-eco.services) and Ciria (www.ciria.org), hosted a series of workshops designed to build capacity and expertise within CaBA partnerships to help drive greater collaborative delivery within the urban environment.
The subject of this research is the knowledge of the properties of medicinal herbs and their use by tourists from Vrnjacka Banja. The aim of the research is to examine the connection between knowledge of spa tourists about medicinal herbs and the possibility of their usage in everyday life.A prospective study is done using a survey questionnaire, that contains three groups of variables: demographic data, knowledge of the properties and use of medicinal herbs. The research has shown that the respondents are best acquainted with the healing properties of fruits and vegetables. As for the use of medicinal herbs (such as tea or fruits), most of the respondents use them periodically, while being healthy. After they get sick, the respondents under 50 years of age, start their treatment by combining medicinal herbs with the medicines from pharmacy, whereas the elder ones above 50 years of age, address the problem by going to their chosen doctor.

“MERCOSUL THERMALISM AND HYDRODIVERSITY ENDOWNMENT”
Lazzerini, F.T. – 2005
It is considered that the Biodiversity is one of the greatest allied to environmental preservation, the reasonable use of natural resources of vegetable and animal origin and to the sustainable development. This study tries to observe the natural resources of mineral reign provenance, specially the waters as diversity and heterogeneity, possibly obtaining the same results.
So as to do it both Geodiversity and Hydrodiversity have to take the Thermalism as main partner.
The study case will be on the important and promising Mercosul region, where social and economic issues are associated to the mineral richness, specially the richness of its underground aquifers which can contribute substantially towards the XXI Agend accomplishment.
Natural patrimonies as Iguaçu Waterfalls (PR-BRA), “Chaco”, “Pantanal” (MS-BRA), Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant, Parana River (fishing and water sports), Aparados da Serra Basalt “Cuesta” (RS-BRA) and the giant Guarani Aquifer, among others; add attractiveness to this region. The focus of this research will be on the mineral and medicinal waters, thermal waters, which come from several Thermal or Mineral Spring Water, with different economic level of its thermal use (profit).
Besides the international standardized thermal Springs that coexist in Mercosul region, it is possible to reach the conclusion that there still is a great potential to develop activities related to Health tourism/Wellness (Spas, etc) or Hydrothermal in this extended region where there are many abandoned or not well used waters.
By the compiled Hydrodiversity, it has been confirmed that the water from Parana Sedimentary Basin is generically alkaline (pH over 8.0), thermal, chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate, anion complex, sodium, oligoelements, and mainly sulfurous. Such Mineral Spring waters (Crenology) classifications demonstrate that this water has special attractive elements for Spas and pharmaceutical cosmetic industries.
The exposition of geographical, geological, stratigraphic, genetic, hydrogeological and hydrochemistry aspects intend to improve essential basic knowledge in order to achieve the desired development of this region, attracting investors, bringing consciousness to management people and minimizing risks.
The final annexes come along to illustrate and make the contact easier to those whom wish to visit and get to know some of the localities mentioned in this study.

geomedicine, SPA therapy, naturopathy and health resort medicine tourism. The geological materials in healing or
even aesthetic uses are known since prehistoric times and still today are important pharmaceuticals inputs and NTF -
natural therapeutic factors (resources) to the sustainable development activities. Various expositions forms are
possible (dermal, inhalations, ingestions, therapeutic or epidemiological) to the biologically active compounds (BAC)
effectiveness reviewed. These results (Table 1), intend support future, clinical trials and health resort SPA tourism
marketing strategy.

FUNDAMENTOS: Estâncias, Fatores Naturais Terapêuticos – FNT, Componentes Bioativos – BAC, Termalismo Social/Crenoterapia - PIC, Terapias Naturais, SPA Therapy, Health Resort Medicine, Radon Therapy, Turismo de Saúde e Bem estar.

PARQUES LINEARES SPONGE CITY PIRA 2023 LazzeriniRES.pdffabiolazzerini1
Dentre a área total planejada = > 200 Km lineares

espaços verdes e azuis é estimada em US$ 231.28 hab/ano (Lynch et al., 2020).
Nature’s non-material contributions to people, such as physical and psychological
experiences have a median value of (2017) International US$ 1117 / ha / yr.
Assessment of the financial value of the health and well-being benefits of natural

12% do valor monetário total dos UGBS. Os benefícios monetários totais ascendem a EU$
464.00/hab/yr ou EU$ 3.00 billion/yr para Flandres (~ 1,3% do PIB) (Nocker et al., 2023).
& Cooper, 2022).
The global medicine market is about 1.1 trillion US dollars. About 35 percent of medicines
have originated from natural products (Calixto, 2019).
The value of global ecosystem services was estimated to be about 4.5 times the value of
Gross World Product (GWP) in the year 2000 using this approach. For a current global
GDP of $75 trillion/yr this would be about $347 trillion/yr.
A conservative global estimate using quality-adjusted life years, a standard measure in
health economics, is US$6 trillion p.a. This is an order of magnitude greater than the
global value of protected area tourism, and two to three orders greater than global
aggregate protected area management agency budgets (Buckley et al., 2019).
Protected areas increase economic productivity, and reduce direct healthcare costs, by a
total of ~2.35 % of global GNP.

8. BRANDING OF TOURIST DESTINATION AS AN IMPORTANT STRATEGIC RESOURCE OF
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (Mikić et al., 2017).
To provide a brand destination which may offer something different of the best chance of success,
both the original and “tourist story” should be adapted for the tourists. In order to achieve really
successful branding of a tourist destination, the brand must become alive and relevant for all
visitors and tourists who wish to visit a destination.
Acknowledging that some places have modern hotels, conference facilities, unique culture, natural
attractions, interesting places of interest or some other forms of tourist attractions with which to
draw attention and increase value, the future success of attractions for tourists depends on the
creation of a unique identity and differentiation in relation to its competition.
Destination branding is about packaging and marketing a set of images to promote a particular
destination. There are however consequences that extend beyond marketing, for example, the
brand vision can become an instrument for transforming the place and social engineering local
cultures.
The term „destination brand“ is closely connected to the term „destination’s competitive identity“.
It is what makes a destination distinctive and memorable. It differentiates the destination from all
others. It is the foundation of the destination’s international competitiveness. A destination brand
represents the core essence and enduring characteristics of a destination.

depicts the influence of salutary factors that pull individual well-being toward the salutogenic
outcomes, while the red arrow depicts the influence of environmental stressors that pull
individual well-being toward adverse outcomes (Silva et al., 2018).

... By embedding a health and well-being philosophy for tourist destinations, it is hoped that more individuals will
potentially engage in tourism and the economic benefits will follow. Health policy has acknowledged that disease
prevention is essential to ensure better population health and contributes to less spending on health care in the long
term (Hartwell, Hemingway, Fyall, Filimonau, & Wall, 2012;Wanless, 2002). As well-being has become an important
policy goal public health has begun to adopt strategies which focus on well-being across the life course through
considering the wider determinants of health and health behaviour . ...
... All of which are potentially impacted upon by tourism and public health policy and strategy at a local level coming
together. The health of the population is not exclusively an obligation of the health sector; indeed in the UK the recent
move of the public health function to local authorities is evidence of the contribution of the local policy context across
the wider determinants of health directly influenced by local authority strategy and local action (Hartwell et al. 2012).
This change is intended to help planners and politicians engage with their responsibility as laid out in the Health Act
1999 which is to come together to improve the health and well-being of local people. ...
... Regardless of these variances, where the two parties could find common ground is under the well-being effect of
tourism. Drawing on the work of Ritchie and Crouch (2003), Hartwell et al. (2012present a conceptual relationship
that demonstrates the fusion of public health and tourism using effective strategy and public policy formation.
Furthermore, the principles of sustainable tourism have been used to provide additional evidence on how integrating
public health principles into destination management, destination policy, local policy, activities and destination capital
can provide positive outcomes (Hartwell et al. 2012).

75. Faced with the growing evidence that nature-based solutions (NbS) tend to meet the majority of 17 sustainable
development goals (SDG), as well as the synergy between their total 169 targets (UN, 2030 AGENDA); suggestions will be
made below to increase the attractiveness and branding competitiveness for tourist destinations related to: health,
medical, wellness, SPA, resort, thermal, hot spring, natural.
The correlations of nature and tourism with health are usually positive (due to direct beneficial assistance or prevention of
harm), but sometimes negative (environmental imbalances and human actions). Some current geographic approaches:
cultural ecosystem (environmental) services, WellVillage, SPA town, healthy city, urban green/blue space (UGBS), natural
outdoor environment (NOE) and health and well-being – PHENOTYPE project, biophilia architecture.
Since prehistoric times, beneficial effects on human health have been recognized through nature, as well as people's
movements in search of places with such special characteristics. Named healing/sacred places, they gave rise to pilgrimages
and the first forms of tourist organizations. In recent surveys on visitors' preferences for wellness and health destinations,
attractiveness related to nature, environment and potentially therapeutic resources is at the top of the list compared to
other items considered (Finland, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Poland). For the current Health Tourism Destination Index (Lee &
Li, 2019) with 3 dimensions and 11 sub-dimensions, the natural environment dimension and sub-dimensions climate, air,
water, and light; are highlights.
(IUCN, 2016) Resolution 64 - Strengthening cross-sector partnerships to recognise the contributions of nature to health,
well-being and quality of life (Nature is good medicine). (NCCAM-NIH, 2012) List of Total 259 therapies included as
complementary alternative medicine - CAM, observed 50% direct nature related and 70% possible nature related
(+indirect). In addition to the various traditional medicines, naturopathy, natural medicines and nature-based interventions
direct nature related observed.
Thus, increasing knowledge about occurrences of NTF - local natural therapeutic factors and their potentially bioactive
properties - BAC (preventive, restorative or medicinal), become strategic in planning, development and sustainability of
activities in these segments; whether public or private (Lazzerini, 2019; Ziemska et al., 2019). Main characteristics to be
evaluated: physical, chemical, biological, toxicological, pharmacological, nutritional, traditional knowledge, sensory,
thermodynamic, nanomolecular, ecogeophysical, energetic, vibrational, …
Through an online literature review for “natural therapeutic factor” and similar terms (135 articles related to health tourism
were selected) and systematization based on the Natural kind classification philosophy (Cleland et al., 2020) the NTF are
described in 4 types of greater scope (environments, phenomena, resources/materials and lives) and having more than 100
subdivisions.
Details, presentation, indications, case studies and BACs; will be supplemented to interested participants. And at eBook in
